Monday's updated Class of 2021 Rankings expanded to now include the top 160 players from across the Old Line State and Delaware. In all, 35 new faces entered the rankings. Today we take a look at those 35 players and include video on 31 of the players.
NEW FACES IN THE TOP 50
SCOUTING REPORT
The 6-foot-1, 170-pound Maryland native showed good all-around ability at this event. Offensively, he starts in a spread, neutral stance. Generates solid bat speed and shows good mid section strength. Controls his hands and keeps the barrel in the zone a long time. A 78-mph exit velocity was recorded. Defensively, he showed quiet, confident hands and the ability to consistently block the ball. A 66 mph arm from the crouch was recorded along with a 7.21 - 60 time. Overall, Bittinger will be a player to follow in Maryland in the 2021 class.

MD MoCo Fall Review
Strong, athletic body type and projectable 6’3’’, 185 pound frame. Hits from a relaxed, balanced, open stance at the plate. Minimal load, quick stride and good hand separation. Stays behind the ball well with strong lower half involvement. Creates quick bat speed through the zone and showed an uphill swing path. Gets excellent extension with nice balance throughout the swing. Big power present at the plate. Recorded an 88 mph exit velocity. Plays with active feet in the infield and works through the ball fielding it out in front. Funnels ball to chest and showed quick, clean exchanges with rhythm. Stays low on double play feeds to second and clears left hip naturally. Throws with short, quick arm action from a high three-quarter slot across the diamond at 85 mph. Ran a 7.40 60-yard time.
2019 Diamondskills All-American Camp 1/19/2019
Strong athletic frame at 6-foot-2, 175-pounds. Starts with an open upright stance. Hands are relaxed and load in rhythm with a small knee to knee leg kick. Lands in line, bat is short to the ball and stays on it through extension with an uphill high finish. Lower half finishes completely and shows the ability to hit for power with an exit velocity of 90 mph. Defensively feet work well to get outside the ball and footwork is on time with soft hands at catch. Exchange is clean and rhythmic. Arm action is long throwing from a low three-quarter slot at 66 mph across the infield. Ran the 60 in 7.52.
