SCOUTING REPORT

The 6-foot-1, 170-pound Maryland native showed good all-around ability at this event. Offensively, he starts in a spread, neutral stance. Generates solid bat speed and shows good mid section strength. Controls his hands and keeps the barrel in the zone a long time. A 78-mph exit velocity was recorded. Defensively, he showed quiet, confident hands and the ability to consistently block the ball. A 66 mph arm from the crouch was recorded along with a 7.21 - 60 time. Overall, Bittinger will be a player to follow in Maryland in the 2021 class.
