South Mecklenburg SR RHP Alex Fenton worked into the 7th inning surrendering 3 hits. In the 7th, Fenton ran into a little trouble, leading 3-1 with the bases loaded. Relief pitcher Greg Hommes induced a game ending double-play ground ball to 3B, securing a spot in the championship with a 3-2 win.
The Sabres took the lead with a 2 run 6th. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, a two out single from 1B Thomas Umphlett put South Meck the lead for good.
