As we get prepared for our premiere event of the year in the Preseason All-State, we start the process by breaking down each individual attendee with notes on videos their game.  The Preseason All-State attracts some of the top talent from all across the state creating platforms and driving eye-balls for recruiters and scouts at the next level to help guide them throughout the spring recruiting.  This year's event will take place once again at Oral Roberts University of February 11th featuring a pro-style workout with data collected by our tech partners, social media coverage, and updated video for the profile.

Benji Bauer C / 2B / Owasso, OK / 2027 Bauer burst onto the scene ahead of his freshman campaign showcasing big strength and sneaky athleticism as a member of Team Oklahoma at the Junior Future Games in Atlanta.  Bauer has some of the best strength at contact in the class with exit velos reaching up to 95.6 mph with consistent hard contact.  Bauer shows positional versatility with the ability to play a high level of defense in the middle of the diamond and strong actions behind the plate.  Benji is able to pack a ton of power into his frame with present strength and his strong skill set makes for him to be a very intriguing follow as he begins his high school career.

Layton Bryan SS / RHP / Chickasha, OK / 2025 Bryan is a key-returner for Chickasha heading into his junior season after proving himself as a major contributor the past two seasons.  The 2-way prospect has reportedly shown big jumps especially on the mound where the arm strength is starting to play up a higher level.  Bryan also has a smooth stroke from the left side of the plate with an athletic swing.  His offensive approach paired with smooth actions in the infield makes him a very intriguing 2-way prospect to follow in the coming months.

Eddie Fish SS / 2B / Yukon, OK / 2026 Fish is no stranger to impressing at one of our events after last performing at the Fall Underclass Games back in October.  Fish pairs speed and strength nicely with a previous 6.86 laser timed 60 and reaching exit velos up to 92.8 mph.  Fish is able to generate the power thanks to a well-sequenced swing and getting the most out of his 6-foot and 170-pound frame.  Defensively, Fish shows strong actions with lateral range that should keep him up the middle in the future.

Maverick Gardner SS / RHP / Moore, OK / 2026 We last got a look at Gardner at the OKC Preseason ID back in January of 2023.  Gardner stands at a long and lean build of 6-foot-1 and 165 pounds that still has plenty of room to keep adding strength.  Offensively he shows a tight rotational swing and likes to work the hands tight to the inside part of the ball.  Defensively, he works strong footwork around the ball with a sure glove and quick and clean exchanges.  Look for increased numbers from Gardner as he continues to add some size and strength.

Drew Gilleland OF / RHP / Bixby, OK / 2024 The senior uncommitted outfielder from Bixby returns to an event after last taking part in the Fall Underclass games back in 2022.  Even a year and a half ago, Gilleland showed some strength at contact reaching exit velos up to 89.7 mph and a strong average of 82.4 mph.  Gilleland uses a simple linear swing with quick hands through the zone to generate a lot of line drive contact especially back up the middle of the diamond.  Expect to see even bigger numbers from Gilleland heading into this weekend's Preseason All-State.

Zach Hale 3B / RHP / Claremore, OK / 2025 We last got a look at Hale at 2023 Preseason All-State where he showed some 2-way potential and a large and projectable 6-foot-4 and 205 pound frame.  Offensively, Hale uses his natural leverage to his advantage to create hard contact up to 89.5 mph and a strong 85 mph average.  A slight uphill bat path, Hale is able to create some natural lift to the ball playing for above average gap power.  On the mound, he worked the fastball up to 80 mph and showed a slurvy breaking ball in the upper 60's.  It would not be a surpise to see a big jump from Hale this weekend as he heads into his Junior campaign.

Brad Hoisington OF / RHP / Claremore , OK / 2025 We last saw Hoisington at the Marucci Midwest OK Scout Day where the talented 2-way impressed on both sides of the ball.  Hoisington brings some athleticism to the table running a 6.94 60 and showing some arm strength from the outfield reaching up to 86 mph.  At the plate, he uses a rotational swing to generate exit velos up to 86.2 mph.  On the mound, Hoisington uses his athletic 6-foot-2 and 170 pound frame to work the fastball up to 83 mph and showed shapes of both the curveball and slider to go along with a 73 mph changeup.

Jaxon Hyde-Hererra C / RHP / Putnam City West, OK / 2024 The Eastern Oklahoma State commit comes to the Preseason All-State looking to upgrade his already impressive numbers that he's displayed at previous events.  Jaxon has reportedly seen an uptick in velocity on the mound which he'll look to best his previous top fastball velo of 91.5 mph.  Hyde-Herrera will also use that big arm from behind the plate where he has put up some of the better numbers we've seen at our events reaching up to 86 mph from the crouch and showcase pop times in the crazy 1.75-1.86 range.  He will also add some strength at contact with exit velos reaching up to 95.5 mph.  A true college 2-way prospect, Hyde-Herrera has the potential to end up being one of the best prospects in the class when it is all said and done.

Camden Knutson SS / RHP / Tulsa Union, OK / 2024 The NOC Tonkawa commit last came to the Top Prospect Upperclass Games this past June where he continued to show strong skills on both sides of the ball.  Knutson burst onto the scene this past Spring where he showed high productivity with the bat and logged some important innings out of the bullpen for the Redhawks.  Offensively, Knutson has strong swing mechanics with a level path and line drive approach that allows him to handle higher end pitching.  He has strong actions defensively that plays up in the middle of the diamond and enough arm strength to be one of the better turners of double plays in the area.  On the mound, he uses his low to mid 80's fastball to attack hitters with strong command and can mix in a mid 70's slider to help chase away bats.

Avery Lonberg OF / 3B / Edmond North, OK / 2026 Lonberg last impressed us with a strong showing at the Top Prospect Underclass Games last June where the left-handed bat stood out with hard consistent contact.  Lonberg reached exit velos up to 92.5 mph thanks to quick hands through the zone and strong rotation around the core.  He also showed better than average arm strength in the outfield for the class reaching up to 84 mph.  Standing at 6-foot and 170 pounds, Lonberg still has plenty of room to keep adding strength and could potentially be one of the top left-handed bats in the class.
