Uncommitted Spotlight: 2025 SS Sean Goldy

As we wrap up the 2023 season, we now continue our coverage of the talent we've seen so far this year in Colorado with 'Uncommitted Spotlights' of the top prospects still on the board in the junior class. While there's already prospects in the class committed to programs already, there remains a slew of high-end talent still available.

These spotlights help paint a picture of the prospect with the help of our TrackMan, Blast Motion, Swift Performance and Vizual Edge systems, that provides objective data that teams use to identify and break down players they believe will fit into their system.

Today, we continue our Top Uncommitted Spotlights with a look at 2025 SS Sean Goldy of Cherry Creek HS. Goldy is a 2023 Future Games attendee who comes with some impressive tools. The junior has showcased a 6.71 60 yard dash time, a 91 mph infield velocity, and a top exit-velocity of 93 mph. Goldy is actively developing as an athlete on the field while presenting a short and compact swing that generates gap to gap power.

Positional Profile: SS/OF High follow for grade, flashes a strong skill set with the bat and defensively while having room to develop.
Body: 5-8, 145-pounds. Wiry, athletic frame.
Hits: RHH. Open stance, feet wide, bend at the knees, bat 45 degrees, hands at shoulder, slight bat wiggle. Medium leg lift, short stride, load with hands, small load onto back leg, strong lower half, short and quick to the baseball, long through the zone.
Power: 90 max exit velocity, averaged 84.6 MPH. 313' max distance. Quick hands with the ability to hit the ball hard, room to develop more power.
Arm: RH. INF-87 mph.Medium arm swing out of a 3/4 slot.
Defense: Small crouch, relevant prep step, active feet, ability to throw out of multiple arm slots, strong athleticism, works around the ball well.
