Colorado 2025 Class Rankings: Summer Update

The summer 2023 rankings update consists of 75 players from the Colorado 2025 class. This group of prospects includes a plethora of uncommitted top talent, 7 nationally ranked players, some interesting upsides to monitor, and two big-time commits at the top. When creating our rankings, we consider various factors, such as skills, physical abilities, potential, projection, and on-field performance as well.


As the fall season begins, we are excited to see how these players develop and are constantly looking for new talent within our state. We understand that each player progresses at their own pace, and we will update the rankings throughout the year. It's important to remember that each player has their journey, and the ultimate goal should always be to strive for continuous improvement.

the nationally ranked:

Boston Kellner SS / 3B / Pine Creek, CO / 2025

Kellner still sits ranked #1 overall in this summer 2023 update as he continues to impress. The two-way Louisville commit hit .514 with 6 home runs this spring and also pitched to a 1.87 ERA with 82 strikeouts in 52.1 innings of work. Kellner was named to the Area Code games roster this summer as well to showcase his abilities on a national scale once again. Kellner has showcased top exit-velocities at 99 mph and has gotten the fastball up to 89 mph on the mound in the past. The physical athlete has a massive ceiling and still has plenty of time to get even better and increase his stock. 

Thomas Stewart RHP / SS / Mullen, CO / 2025

Stewart is another very strong two-way player out of this class, and he is already committed to playing baseball at the University of Virginia after high-school. The ceiling on Stewart's pitching is quite high as he already showcases a fastball in the upper 80's with an off-speed pitch with spin into the 2700's. Stewart also hit .419 this spring with 8 home runs. Stewart could end up as one of the higher-end arms in the 2025 class if he continues to develop. 

Trevor Gottsegen OF / RHP / Highlands Ranch, CO / 2025

Gottsegen has been making waves this summer thanks to a strong performance during the 2023 Future Games and improving his already impressive resumé. The junior runs a 6.57 60 yard dash, has an 88 mph outfield throwing velocity, over a 95 mph top exit-velocity, and has also hit 87 mph on the mound. Gottsegen is a competent and confident hitter that comes with high-end tools. 

Connor Larkin 1B / OF / Cherry Creek, CO / 2025

Larkin put himself on the national radar this summer by showcasing quite well in Georgia for the 2023 Future Games. The gap to gap power was on display from Larkin thanks to a handful of extra-base hits to all fields along with a home run in game 1. Larkin also runs a 6.9 60 yard dash and has posted a top exit-velocity of 94 mph. 

Carter Wilcox LHP / OF / Cherokee Trail High School, CO / 2025

Wilcox is yet another nationally ranked player out of the Colorado 2025 class thanks to being a lefty with plenty of velocity. The fastball on Wilcox has gotten up to 89 mph at times this summer with a slider he spins into the 2500's. As we continue to see Wilcox develop, he could be a fast mover up the rankings state-wide and nationally. 

Wyatt Rudden RHP / OF / Cherry Creek, CO / 2025

Rudden has proven he belongs in the national rankings thanks to an eye-opening outing during the 2023 Future Games. The uncommitted junior had the fastball going from 88 to 90 mph in Georgia with feel for a slider and changeup. We saw Rudden rack up the whiffs and attack elite hitters with confidence. Wiry and athletic frame that should only get stronger. 

Christian Lopez OF / LHP / Regis Jesuit, CO / 2025

Lopez rounds out our nationally ranked Colorado players and he comes with some impressive tools. The uncommitted junior runs an elite 6.41 60 yard dash, has posted a 92 mph top exit-velocity, and throws 88 mph from the outfield. Lopez's ceiling is just beginning to be tapped into as his wiry and athletic frame should get stronger. 

 

TOP RISERS:


Owen Morgan SS / 2B / Fossil Ridge High School, CO / 2025

Morgan was also a 2023 Future Games participant and ended his week with a no-doubt home run in the final game. Morgan is an athlete on all fronts and ran a 6.72 60 yard dash with a top exit-velocity of 95 mph. The junior is a seasoned infielder with feel and tools. 

Vedant Sharma RHP / Fossil Ridge, CO / 2025

Sharma is one of the biggest movers in the rankings thanks to ramping the fastball up to 92 mph during the 2023 Future Games. Sharma's physical frame helps give him a unique fastball with quality spin along with a competitive off-speed and changeup. We can also tell you that the academics on Sharma are extremely high.  

Sean Goldy SS / OF / Cherry Creek, CO / 2025

Goldy put on a show during the 2023 Future Games racking up the extra-base hits and showing quality instincts on the base-paths. The uncommitted junior also throws 91 across the diamond, runs a 6.71 60 yard dash, and has a top exit-velocity of 93 mph. Goldy is worth a close follow to see how the elite athlete continues to develop as an upperclassman. 

 

TOP NEWCOMERS:

Parker Aaron C / 2B / Horizon , CO / 2025

Aaron is a standout newcomer to the rankings as he is a true switch-hitting catcher with a top pop time of 1.81. The exit-velocities on Aaron have gotten up to 95 and 92 mph from either side of the plate, and he also has an 85 mph throw from catcher under his belt, with a 6.94 60 yard dash time. The Horizon junior is certainly someone to keep a close eye on. 

Mason Griffin OF / RHP / Fossil Ridge , CO / 2025

Griffin has been showcasing quite well lately after hitting .324 as a sophomore this spring in one of the toughest leagues in Colorado. Griffin also had multiple extra-base hits during the annual Colorado State Games while producing a 95.5 mph top exit-velocity and an 85 mph outfield throwing velocity. Griffin is a strong and twitchy athlete that only seems to be getting better.
