With the summer baseball season complete and the fall season starting, here are some of the top catchers from the 2016 class still on the board.
Josh Wooten, C, North Central HS
Wooten, a 6-foot, 187-pounder, displays an athletic set-up behind the dish and has soft hands, athleticism and quick feet. He moves well laterally with above-average blocking skills. He has arm strength with carry to his throws, registering pop times in the 2.0-2.1 range. He hits from an athletic set-up, using a short stride and good rhythm. His bat speed is average and he takes an uphill path to the baseball.
