2018 FUTURE GAMES - TEAM CONNECTICUT DAY 2 RECAP

PBR New England finished day two of the 2018 Future Games showcase tournament with victories from both Team Massachusetts and Team Connecticut, as prospects from the 2020 and 2021 classes put their tools to the test in game action.

Jake Neuman LHP / 1B / Southington, CT / 2020

Game Notes: Kicking things off for Team CT, the southpaw worked two superb innings, tallying three strikeouts without surrendering a run. The 5-foot-10, 180 pounder works from a ¾ slot with some deception in the delivery, minor crossfire action, long arm swing. True feel for his offerings on the mound, mixing sequence and hitting spots within the strike zone. Sat 81-83 MPH with the fastball, touching 84 MPH. His slider proved difficult for hitters to track from 69-71 MPH, has frisbee action to it with late vertical bite. Thrown early in the count for strikes and as a putaway pitch. Comfort going to his 70-73 MPH changeup that showed good fade, flashing as a plus pitch to get his first strikeout of the game.
