LOS ANGELES, CALIF. - For the third consecutive year the CIF-SS high school baseball season will once again kick off with the premier high school baseball tournament in Southern California, the Prep Baseball California Spring Invitational. 

With several MLB Draft hopefuls in the 2024 class participating, along with over a dozen more in the 2025 class, the Spring Invitational will provide a one stop shop for scouts and high school baseball fans alike. 

"This tournament keeps getting better and better every year and this year may be the best field we've assembled," said Les Lukach, Prep Baseball California State Director. "With the amount of draft prospects in the next two classes that will be on the field, it will give scouts and opportunity to further gather information on players as we head deeper into the spring."

"The tournament also provides teams with very good competition right out of the gate to start the season. There are no gimmes or cakewalks in this tournament, and that's just how it ought to be," said Lukach.

Some notable 2024 MLB Draft prospects participating include: Bryce Rainer (Harvard Westlake), Levi Sterling (Notre Dame), Ethan Schiefelbien (Corona), Derek Curiel (Orange Lutheran), Nick Montgomery (Cypress), Maximo Martinez (Mira Costa), Duncan Marsten (Harvard Westlake), Cade Townsend (Santa Margarita), Logan DeGroot (Santa Margarita), and Josh Springer (Corona), along with seven of the top 20 ranked players in the 2025 class. 

The field once again features a who’s who of baseball programs from the Southern Section. The entire 16 team field made the postseason a year ago including the Final Four in Division I, and the Division II runner-up.
