Updated Colorado Power 25 Rankings

This baseball thing is confounding.

Other than the two teams that continue to occupy the top spots in the Prep Baseball Report-Colorado Power 25 Rankings, No. 1 Pine Creek, which hasn’t dropped an in-state game, and No. 2 Mountain Vista, which is the only undefeated schoolboy team in Colorado in any of the five classifications, just about every other team is taking turns taking hits.

Teams get going, then take a loss. Or the weather interrupts a streak and there is a large gap between games. Or teams are for some reason(s) asked to play in bitter cold and wind, as they were the past Tuesday. It can be miserable.

Gotta love spring baseball in the Rocky Mountains.

Still, it’s well worth watching. The league races are entering final rounds Other leagues are headed toward season-ending tournaments before the statewide postseason begins.

Below are the latest rankings as teams continue to shuffle placings in the final full week of April … and you know what that means.
