As recruiting heats up for 2025 graduates across the country, we are beginning to take a look at some of the top '25 talent still available in Indiana's junior class. Today, we take a look at '25 OF River Pecina of Penn HS.

A 5-foot-10, 165 pound centerfielder filled with quick twitch - Pecina offers the potential to stick in CF long-term because of an advanced run-tool. Pecina can really run underway and the tool translates to the offensive side of the ball, as well. The right-handed hitting outfielder hits out of a wide, balanced setup and uses a small stride with a quiet load of the hands in order to consistently get on time. The twitch is evident in the way that Pecina turns the barrel, getting on-plane deep in the hitting zone with quick bat speed. There is some present gap power, however Pecina fits more of the mold of a top-of-the-lineup, contact-oriented catalyst.
