Most Viewed Profiles of 2023: No. 8 Grady Westphal

With the year coming to an end, our staff is taking some time to highlight and reflect on the most viewed profiles in Missouri throughout 2023. We’ll be counting down to the top spot, starting with No. 10 earlier in the week, No. 9 yesterday, and we’ll keep working our way down, releasing the most viewed name prior to the end of the year.

Our profiles serve as an all-in-one platform for players, hosting vendors such as verified stats, event video, contact information, and more. To create a free PBR profile, click HERE.

We’ll keep making our way to No. 1 on our list today with the eighth most viewed profile in the state this year, RHP Grady Westphal (Blue Valley, 2025; Texas A&M commit).

Westphal, the top prospect in the state’s junior group and one of the name-to-know arms in the region, looks every bit the part of an impact arm at the next level. He’s plenty projectable still at 6-foot-3, 175-pounds, holding present strength with even more to come down the road.

We saw Westphal turn in an impressive look up close at the Super 16 in mid-July, where he pumped his fastball at 87-90 mph, though he touched 91 mph at the National Program Invitational in June. His bread-and-butter pitch is a true swing-and-miss slider that’s breached the 2800+ RPM mark in our looks and figures to be his carrying offering both now and at the next level. Westphal also throws a firm changeup at 83-85 mph.

A PBR Future Games alumni, Westphal’s ceiling is plenty high and he’s not particularly close to reaching it, either. There’s plenty of room for the Kansas City native to elevate his prospect stock as his high school career progresses and he’s a name that should be at or near the top of the Kansas’ 2025 rankings as a result.
