POPLARVILLE, MS - The South Mississippi Fall ID was held on Saturday, September 23rd at Pearl River CC in Poplarville, MS. This event was an open event that consisted of some of the top prospects from the 2024-2027 classes across all parts of Mississippi. These players went through extended pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman, ran the 60 yard dash using Swift Performance, and much more. Pitchers were able to throw in simulated bullpens during the workout and were able to get numbers and metrics. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing at the event.

Delivery: Smooth tempo and repeatable delivery. Solid direction into release.

SL: 70-72 mph. Works in the zone with soft contact inducing action. Good feel for pitch. T2065, 1980 average rpm.

Delivery: Smooth tempo and repeatable delivery. Pulls lead foot off to 1B side with solid stride length.
Arm Action: RH. Long arm action
FB: T77, 73-77 mph. Good feel for strikezone with arm side run. T1903, 1830 average rpm.
CB: 60-62 mph. Developing pitch though shows good shape T1877, 1812 average rpm.
CH: 68-71 mph. Very good feel and kills spin T1282, 1203 average rpm.

Cooper Hooks, Brandon (MS), 2026
Positional Profile: RHP/1B
Body: 6-2, 225-pounds. Strong, durable build
Delivery: Smooth tempo and repeatable delivery. Solid direction into release. Tons of next level upside
Arm Action: RH. Loose, slightly shorter arm action
FB: T85, 83-84 mph. Solid arm side action when in the zone. T2284, 2224 average rpm.
CB: 70-72 mph. Big time pitch in the making. Very good downward action T2737, 2538 average rpm.
CH: 78-79 mph. Solid feel and kills the spin with fastball arm action T1618, 1565 average rpm.
CUT: 79-79 mph.

Addison Jayroe, Madison Central (MS), 2025
Positional Profile: RHP/1B
Body: 6-2, 215-pounds. Strong, durable frame
Delivery: Quicker though smooth and repeatable deliver. Could get a little longer into stride though very good with direction.
