New England Insider: Uncommitted Senior Spotlight - Nick Maiorisi, SS

Scouting Report: A right-handed hitting infielder who had a very good showcase was impressive. At the plate, the stance is balanced hands are set a low with clean crisp path to the ball. Does a very good job of getting hands and weight back into hitting position. The swing is loose and lets his hands work with ease. Swung the bat well in game, made solid contact all day. The tee exit velocity was 89 has juice in his hands. Down the line was 4.35 ran hard with ease. In the field worked out at shortstop, can easily play all three infield spots. The hands work and gets the ball out front, keeps his feet moving well towards target. The arm was 77 across the diamond. The feet are good, can start and finish around the bag. This kid has serious feel for the game, someone is going to get a good one, really like him, definite guy for me.
