A review of the top unsigned seniors that the PBR Arkansas staff have scouted over the past week.

2017 RHP Noah Fowler, had a solid outing against Sheridan High School as he pitched 5 shut out inning as Catholic High School defeated Sheridan in the Benton Invitational.

2017 MIF Blake McCutchen propelled Cabot’s offense as they won the PBR Metro classic, behind a strong offensive performance as a team, which seemed to feed off of McCutchen who hit in the leadoff spot for the Panthers.

2017 RHP Shelby Quiggins had a dominant week on the mound pitching 8 innings of shutout baseball in the PBR Metro Tournament. 5 innings of no hit baseball in a win against Russellville and 3 shutout innings against Searcy.

2017 C Tanner Weber anchored the middle of the order for CAC as they competed in the PBR Metro Tournament and swept a double header against conference foe Robinson High School.

Noah Fowler, RHP, Catholic
Fowler is a 6-foot-1 210-pound right-hander with a large frame and an average build. He showed advanced pitchability locating three pitches for a strike on a consistent basis. His fastball worked 82-84 mph, his curveball was 70-73 mph with 11/5 shape and early break, while his changeup was thrown 73-75 mph with arm side run. He uses a simple repeated delivery, and throws the baseball from an H ¾ arm slot with a slight stab in the back and average arm speed. He uses an athletic finish. Overall Fowler has an advanced feel to pitch and competes at a high level in the strike zone.

Blake McCutchen, MIF Cabot
McCutchen is a 5-foot-11 165-pound middle infielder with an athletic frame and build. He defensively he plays through the baseball with fluid actions. He throws the ball from an H 3/4 arm slot with a quick arm action. He threw the baseball accurately across the infield. Offensively he starts from a slightly open stance with a small leg lift. Throughout the week he showed the ability to hit for doubles on a consistent basis recording an extra base hit in three different games during the PBR Metro Tournament. Overall McCutchen is an advanced defender with above athleticism.

Shelby Quiggins, RHP, Maumelle 
Quiggins is a 6-foot-4 210-pound right-hander with a large frame and an average build. He commanded the strike zone with a fastball which worked 83-85 mph with slight sink, and a breaking ball thrown 74-76 mph with late break and 11/5 shape. He repeats his delivery consistently with little effort, he finishes tall but maintains balance. Overall Quiggins is a large right-hander with a feel for the strike zone, he has athleticism, which points to a high ceiling as he cleans up some mechanical issues.

Tanner Weber, C, Central Arkansas Christian
Weber is a 6-foot-3 210-pound catcher with a large frame and average build. He impressed with his energy and effort behind the plate, he received a clean game, and showed effort and adequate technique while blocking. He threw 2.07-2.16 pop times in between innings, was never challenged in game. Offensively he had a solid day picking up 2 hits. He starts from an athletic stance, uses a minimum load and stride and attacks the baseball with strength and average bat speed. He showed an inside-out swing while attempting to hit the ball to the opposite field, when he attacked the baseball and got the barrel out front he showed better bat speed and slight uphill swing that produced doubles. Overall and advanced catcher with an upside as an offensive prospect.
