As recruiting heats up for 2025 graduates across the country, we are beginning to take a look at some of the top '25 talent still available in Indiana's junior class. Today, we take a look at '25 RHP Dawson French of Penn HS.

A wiry, athletic right-hander that lives in the strike zone on a consistent basis. There is significant room for the 6-foot-3, 175 pounder to add strength and size to the frame, which should allow his low-to-mid 80s fastball (T87) to tick up as he continues to mature, a safe bet when considering the athleticism French already possesses. French's best pitch is his low-to-mid 70s breaking ball, a quality pitch with slurvey shape that averages over 20" of total break. French rounds out his three-pitch mix with a 78-81 mph changeup, a pitch that French kills spin on (Avg - 1,332 RPM) and fades/sinks. French's pitchability allowed him to have an impact during Penn's State Championship run in 2023, and he possesses multiple traits to suggest his overall stuff will continously improve throughout his high school career.
