#5: William Patrick's Future Games Performance

Louisiana has been well represented over the years at the PBR Future Games, but this summer's event may have seen the best performance by a Bayou State prospect, in 2025 OF William Patrick.  The St. Frederick HS product was a member of our 2022 Future Games team, as an underclassman, but was unable to make the final two days of the event in 2022, due to coming down with an illness.  Eager to make an impact as a returning Future Games prospect, Patrick wasted no time announcing his presence the 2023 Future Games.  At the opening workout day, the 6'2" 190 lbs. outfielder showed his elite speed by blazing a 6.42 laser-timed 60, which was good for third-best at the entire event.  He also showed a big arm from the outfield, working up to 92 mph, and also showed increased strength and power at the plate, as he recorded a max exit velocity of 98 mph.  His performance over the course of the next 3 days in game, however, was even more spectacular than his showing at the workout.  Iin three games, against high-level arms, Patrick went 3-4 at the plate with a pull-side HR, opposite field 3B, 5 RBI, 3 SB, and 4 BB.  He impacted the game in a variety ways and was without a doubt one of the top prospects at the entire event.  After drawing attention from numerous schools and taking his visits this past fall, Patrick decided to announce his commitment to the defending National Champion LSU Tigers.
