Quick Hitters: Canes National ID - Pitchers

On Saturday August 12th PBR of South Carolina and North Carolina was on hand at C35 Baseball Complex for the Canes National Team Trials. The event featured players from the 2025-2028 Grad Classes.
The day began with players going through a rotation that involved running a laser timed 60 and taking batting practice on the field with Trackman collecting ball flight data. After batting practice, position players went through a defensive evaluation. The scout day concluded with pitchers throwing a controlled bullpen with Trackman gathering information on each pitch, along with a live action game play.

Quick Hitters - Canes National ID: Pitchers
Aiden Robinson, RHP, South Lyon HS (MI), 2025
Lean 5-foot-11, 165 pounds. Slides to the 1B side of the rubber. Medium arm swing. Strong, athletic action. High-¾ slot. Solid arm speed. Fastball up to 84, 1994rpm. Sink metrics with the fastball playing true out of the hand. Solid feel for the breaking ball with 10/4 tilt, rolling through the zone at 68-70, 2084rpm.
Brock Adkins, LHP, Ashley HS (NC), 2027
Thin 6-foot-1, 160 pounds. Lots of maturation ahead. Coils around the back hip, landing online and working level throughout. Long arm action through a high-¾ slot. Some slot change on secondary offerings. Fastball at 80-81, 1929rpm. Heavy run out of the hand, at times is sharp when working to the glove side.
Patrick Hollifield, RHP, Swansboro HS (NC), 2026
Strength present at 5-foot-10, 160 pounds. Stable over the rubber. Simple delivery. Tall with a slight uphill leverage through the shoulders as the front side breaks. Long arm swing, slightly plunging out of the glove. Over-the-top slot. Average to above arm speed. Fastball peaked at 82.5, 1965rpm. Breaking ball is sharp at times with 11/5 tilt, ranging 68-69, 2024rpm. Showed solid feel for a change-up with fade working out of a similar window to the fastball.
Chase White, RHP, South Central HS (NC), 2028
Slender and still maturing at 5-foot-8, 110 pounds. Stable head over the rubber. Works level and in-line. Medium arm swing. Average arm speed. High-¾ slot. Fastball up to 79.1, 1769rpm.
Trevor Yancey, RHP, Providence Day (NC), 2027
Strength present at 5-foot-10, 155 pounds. Long arm swing, early to the top. Early pronator. High-34 slot. Sink and run present. Fastball at 76-78, 1634rpm.
Garrett Burris, LHP, Lake Norman Charter (NC), 2028
Long, lean, and lanky, standing 6-foot, 143 pounds. Simple kick and turn. Short arm action working to load the scapular as the line is slightly closed through balance. Works back to being on-line. ¾ slot. Quick arm. Velocity should arrive with strength and weight. Finishes rotating to the 3B side, limiting some extension. Fastball up to 77.2, 2109rpm. Good ride with some run through the zone. Breaking ball spin up to 2313rpm but still maturing for a constant arc and shape.
