Asa Floyd C / OF / Worcester Academy, MA / 2020

Report: 5-foot-11, 180-pound right-handed hitting catcher. Ran a 4.19 down the line on his dig to first base, as he is very athletic. Threw 80 mph down to second base during the catching portion of the workout. The pop time is 1.96 as the feet are quick and the release is simple. Advanced catching skill set. The bat has very good life to it, tee exit velocity of 88 mph. Sets up with his feet even, picks up and puts down the front foot as the ball approaches. The bat speed is above average, the path is long to contact. The hands need better direction to initiate the swing. Big time prospect for me.
