Vermont State Baseball Championships, Centennial Field, Burlington, Vt.

Division I: Champlain Valley 5, Mount Mansfield 2
Division II:
Fair Haven 3, Otter Valley 1
Division III:
White River Valley 9, Vergennes 5
Division IV:
Black River 10, Danville 1

Jonah Roberts, OF, Champlain Valley (Vt), 2020
Report: Speedy right hitting, righty-throwing center-fielder and leadoff hitter. Solid athletic build (approx. 5-11, 175 lbs) with great range in the field and a smooth stroke. Tracked balls hit at him in CF- one nice catch on a sinking  liner to his right- and has a good accurate arm. Top hitter all season for 18-1 RedHawks, he reached four times in four trips in the D-I title game 5-2 win over Mount Mansfield on two hits, a walk and a hit by a pitch, scoring three times while driving in another. Stole five bases on the day and also had a sixth inning RBI double hit sharply down the left field line that put the victory out of reach.

NEB Invitational 6.7.19-6.9.19

Bobby Alcock RHP / St. Mary's, MA / 2019

Report: Alcock has a solid three pitch mix. FB was 81-83. CB was 69-71 and the CH was 73-75. His body works well. Simple lift and go, keeps his weight loaded on his back leg which gives him most of his power. His arm action is good, and he commands both sides of the plate. Out of the stretch, he’s quick to the plate, 1.3 to the plate or better. Showed the confidence to throw his breaking ball at any count.

Nashoba Regional vs Grafton 6.6.19

By Kevin Hummer
PBR New England Scout

Ryan Kolakowski C / OF / Nashoba Regional, MA / 2020

Report: Kolakowski showed out behind the plate for the cheiftains in the first round of the playoffs. His pop was a 1.98-2.09 and threw out a dude stealing in the first inning. Worked hard behind the plate, blocking a ton of pitches. Showed the confidence to throw behind guys at first and second. Notched one of the three hits on the day for Nashoba with a single to the gap in the bottom of the seventh. Only a junior, keep an eye on this kid.
