Lexington vs Wellesley 6.1.19

Max Zajec 1B / RHP / Wellesley, MA / 2020

Report: Zajec showed some command issues in his late innings, but was not getting much help behind him from his defense. Started out with his fastball sitting 85-86 consistently, and the breaking ball was 69-71. Showed the ability to throw strikes but left some pitches up in the zone and Lexington took advantage of that. Also had a single and RBI which would be one of only two runs scored for the Raiders.

St. Johns Shrewsbury vs Shrewsbury 5.31.19

Thomas Morgera OF / MIF / Shrewsbury, MA / 2020

Report: Morgera had an extremely productive day at the plate for the Colonials. He tallied three hits, all singles and scored the winning run on a heads up baserunning play that was the result of some lackadaisical defense from Saint John’s. Morgera has plus speed on the base path and in the outfield. Tracked down every fly ball hit to him, has a great first step and gets around the ball well. Profiles to be a corner outfielder, needs to get the arm strength up, but the speed and bat are exceptional for his age.

Torrington vs Weston 5.28.19

By Trevor Brown
PBR New England Co-Director of Scouting

Andrew Amato, C, 2021, Weston
Report: A catcher with a tall athletic frame. He is a big kid who is an above average athlete. He showed his ability to receive behind the plate and blocked every ball he could have. Showed off a very strong and accurate arm from behind the dish as well as he threw out the only runner who attempted to steal on him. At the plate, he is a left-handed hitter with a wide and slightly open stance. He sprayed the ball all over the field in this game. Showed off some speed in this game as well stealing two bases on the day. Had a productive day at the plate going 2-3 with a double, a walk, and two runs scored. Very mature player who is a big time follow over the next couple years.
