Report: An explosive and athletic 2019 prospect, it looks like he is starting to put everything together. Quieting his load and shortening his swing from last year, Brown is now more compact at the plate and allows his quick hands to generate above average bat speed through the zone. After making a ton of loud contact at the PBR Ontario ProCase, Brown had an impressive day, finding the barrel and drilling an opposite-field triple to the right-centre wall, scoring shortly after when he tagged up on a pop to first base. Still some rawness at shortstop but the athleticism and tools are there to improve. Overall, Brown is an explosive and toolsy ballplayer and is starting to take his game to the next level. The Kentucky commit will be a fun follow throughout the summer.
