Scouting Report

Ethan is one of the top uncommitted catchers in Texas. He offers a lot on both sides of the ball. First, he is a good athlete for the catcher position. He consistently runs in the 6.9’s and it shows with the way he moves behind the plate. He has a good arm and is in the 1.9’s on his pop time for the most part. He receives well and does a good job on his pitch framing. At the plate, Ho has good bat speed and shows some power potential. There is more there with some added strength and few mechanical tweaks. There is always a need for an athletic catcher who can defend and offers offensive upside, and that is exactly what Ethan brings to the table.
