Today we are releasing week 2 of the Small School Top 10 for the 2024 season. This ranking release is from VHSL Class 1 & 2 schools from across the state. Take a look at some notes on a few teams from inside the rankings.

• Buckingham continues to hold down the number one spot after improving their record to 14-0.

• Auburn continues to roll with a 17-1 record that slides them into the number three spot.

• While Poquoson has eight losses, once again, they play the hardest schedule of any team in this ranking and probably a harder schedule than any other Class 1-2 team in the entire state. The Islanders will be in the conversation when it comes time for state tournament talk.

• Chilhowie enters the rankings at number ten with a 16-3 record.
