2018 FUTURE GAMES - DAY 1 RECAP

Day 1 of the 2018 Prep Baseball Reports ever prestigious Future Games kicked off with the showcase workout taking place at Grand Park in Indianapolis. With hundreds of college coaches making their way to Indy, this is an opportunity for the top uncommitted 2020 and 2021 grads to make an impression to kick start the next 4 days in the right direction. Needless to say, the Canadian squad represented well and will draw many eyes on the team over the next 3 days of game with today’s position players taking the lead while a deep pitching staff will look to set the tone in tomorrow’s opener against Michigan at 12:45.Read up below on each individual from today and their performance.

CORNER INFIELDERS

Tyler Hinrikus 3B / SS / Resurrection Catholic , ON / 2020

Report: Hinrikus, member of the Ontario Nationals had himself a solid first day here at the 2018 Future Games. Handled himself well defensively, moved well side to side and was able to show some arm strength across the diamond. The bat is Hinrikus’s biggest tool as he dropped a 97 mph off the tee in the exit velocity station while he showed rhythm and ability to work gap to gap and find the barrel during BP. A nice start for the 2020 grad here in Indy.
