Tournament 12 Preview - Team Atlantic

Chris Kemlo
PBR Ontario Director of Scouting

One of our favourite weeks of the calendar year, Tournament 12 is fast approaching with the kickoff of games at the Rogers Centre beginning this Thursday. With over 160 players from across the country all in one place, this is a great opportunity for the players, as well as us at PBR Canada to see players compete in one of a kind setting and at a very high level.

As we get into our Team Previews, we take a look at Ontario Black. 20 prospects makeup this roster with 9 players already being committed to post-secondary schools. Always one of the more talented rosters of the event, the roster has players from a total of 7 different programs represented from Ontario and will get their week kicked off against Alberta in the 5:30 time slot on Thursday.

Below we take a brief look at the roster, and make sure to follow on our home page and social platforms this week as we bring you live coverage of the 2018 Tournament 12.

THE ARMS

Ryan Scott RHP / OF / Langley, BC / 2019

Report: Scott is from New Brunswick but plays the majority of his ball for the Langley Blaze on the west coast in British Columbia, he is one of the top arms in the 2019 class and as recently as  last week, just committed to attend Sacramento State in the fall of 2019. Scott shows a live fastball that works in the 86-88 range and can run it up to 90 mph. The actions are clean and the arm works well, good feel for his secondary stuff, still some polish to be done but high ceiling for Scott as he had one of the better summers for 19’ arms in the country.
