Ontario Insider: Uncommitted National Team Notes - Ontario Prospects

One of our first look at players from Ontario this year was being able to get down South and see games in the sunshine state. We stopped in with the Canadian Junior National Team and we take a look at some of the uncommitted talent on the board from Ontario still. Early looks are always great, and although the performance isn’t always there right out the gate, it’s good to see the changes to bodies and give us a glimpse into what’s to come in the summer of 2018.

Griffin Hassall RHP / Bill Crothers, ON / 2018

This Trip: Hassall, an uncommitted senior started first for the National Team and was as advertised as he threw three pitches and worked the ball around the zone, changing speeds and throwing strikes. His fastball worked 82-85 with more to come, he can get into lower half more and has begun to slowly fill out his 6-foot-3 frame. One of the top uncommitted arms in Ontario, Hassall showed who he is in Florida and the strike throwing righty with upside can be a key addition to the right school.
