SCOUTING REPORT

VA/DC Scout Blog 4/4/18

Uncommitted with athletic frame. Quick and compact delivery. Short athletic arm action with whip and fast arm speed. Fastball had later life on the pitch that touched 89 and sat 85-88 through the first four innings. Aggressive approach and attacked the strikezone. Breaking ball was 70-74 mph with shorter action and 10/4 shape. Shows potential to be a put away pitch. Changeup was 78 mph and not used much but showed ability to be thrown for a strike when called upon. Loved the tempo and aggressive nature of the pitcher. Not sure how much more is in the tank. Looks to be a higher end pitching prospect who could be a versatile arm filling multiple roles within a pitching staff.

5.24.17: Routsis has an athletic frame. On the mound threw from a three-quarters arm slot with a drop and drive delivery. Short arm action, normal effort. Fastball had sink, was 81-83. Curveball had gradual 11/5 break and some armspeed, running 67-69.
