VA/DC 2025 Rankings Update: 50 To Follow

Over the past four days our staff has highlighted new faces to the rankings, risers, as well as a Top 100 release and a Top 200 release. 

Today we want to highlight fifty players from across the Commonwealth and DC that are in strong consideration for rankings. In future updates, it is very likely that some of these names move their way into the ranks. Watch out for these players as they continue to develop and make gains.

 

In addition to the list below, we would like to highlight and provide some notes and video on a few of these players.

A trio of 2025's had solid showings at the Mid-Atlantic State Games, leading to them landing on the 50 To Follow list. 

Freedom (South Riding) right hander Luke Baker was one of the standout arms on night one. Rides the lower half down the mound, full arm action, and slightly above normal effort and intent. Arm speed and intent on the secondary stuff is solid, although the breaking ball had a tendency to back up out of the hand. 

Hayden Black displayed some pitchability to go along with his three-plus pitch mix. Short arm action, higher three-quarter slot, and a low 80's fastball that works to the glove side. The slider had tight downer shape with some out pitch qualities and showed two other secondary pitches to go along with the fastball-slider combo. 

Our third and final highlighted player is Greenbrier Christian junior, Hunter Langston. Langston has a solid 5-foot-10, 185-pound frame. Slightly above average hand speed, has shown some bat to ball skill, and doubles power to the pull side. While he has a solid outing on the mound, it is the bat and positional makeup that carries the weight in the profile.
