The Georgia Scout Blog will be a weekly blog with reports and videos from the players and teams that we go out to cover each week. The blog will remain for the length of the week with notes being added the day following from each game. At the end of the week we will update the POWER 25 and CLASSIFICATION RANKINGS, then at the beginning of the following week we will announce 2 Player of the Week awards, along with our Diamond Notes, which is a culminaton of all players that were not selected for player of the week. Note: Player of the Week submissions are sent in by high school coaches.

Playoffs: Round 4

Michael Mullinax, OF, 2024, North Cobb Christian
Georgia Commit. Mullinax had a multi hit performance in game 1 on Saturday including a no doubt three run bomb to LF. The Switch hitter faced multiple LH arms and had many of plate appearances from the right side and catching a couple of barrels. Mullinax has helped lead the Eagles out of the 3 hole and CF position and will look to win back to back state championships next weekend.

Max Prozny, 2B, 2024, Starr’s Mill
Prozny has been as dynamic as you’ll find in a leadoff bat this spring for Starr’s Mill, and continued to show the many reasons why in the state semis. It started early for the dual-sport Virginia commit with a leadoff pull-side home run in a two-strike count. Prozny would eliminate the leg kick completely and stay compact to show off the huge strength in the stout 5-foot-8, 170-pound frame. The second baseman would follow up with one of the hardest hit balls that I've seen this spring, exploding on a fastball for a double that would hit off the wall in dead center on a line-drive that was maybe 20ft. in the air. Definition of a frozen rope. Prozny would end up reaching base five times in game one as well while scoring three runs and swiping two bases. One man wrecking ball type of performance.
