PBR was on hand for parts of the 2021 York County Spring Break Slugfest, played at York Comprehensive HS.   Eight teams worked through a bracketed playoff with one team going undefeated at the end of the week to capture the championship.  Below is a look at some of the players that impressed with PBR scouts on site

Rock Hill HS

Maddox Mobley, OF, 2021
USC Sumter commit.  Switch hitter hit from the left side only in our time at the event.  Balanced with good rhythm and a simple load.  Has quickness through the zone.  Good hands, working to be direct.  Some lift in the swing.  Showed barrel awareness.  Multiple balls barreled throughout the week with most of his stronger contact coming to the pull side gap.

John Wimmer, SS, 2023
Athletic frame that will continue to handle strength gains.  6-foot, 160 pounds, high waisted.  Right handed hitter showed feel for the strike zone and was aggressive to fastballs in the zone with good feel for the barrel.  Quick bat through the zone.  Peppered the pull side gap with hard contact.
