Below we would like to highlight eight of the Young Prospect to Keep an Eye on.

Jack Blesch RHP / 3B / Gull Lake, MI / 2020

Event Attended: Maroons Scout Day
Scouting Report: 3/11/17
6-foot-1, 185 pound two way prospect has continued to physically develop since we saw him last year at the Future 50. Worked with a calm pace on the mound throwing from a high-¾ arm angle. Fastball sat 81-83 mph commanding the lower half of the zone. Best pitch was a sharp late breaking 67-70 mph slider also flashed a 77-78 mph changeup. In the field has a good feel for his position, receives the ball deep at times while showing soft hands. At the plate with his upper leaned over slightly, keeping his legs shoulder width apart. Keeps his hands in the hitting zone showing good power in his two hand swing. One of the top prospects in the 2020 class.
Exit Velo: 91 mph
Inf Velo: 81 mph
Outlook: True two-way prospect with a shot to play college ball at both spots. At the plate shows good pop that will continue to develop. Hits the ball hard working the pull side. On the mound fastball works the lower half, with a heavy feel.
