2018 FUTURE GAMES - TEAM MASSACHUSETTS DAY 2 RECAP

PBR New England finished day two of the 2018 Future Games showcase tournament with victories from both Team Massachusetts and Team Connecticut, as prospects from the 2020 and 2021 classes put their tools to the test in game action.

Will McFadden LHP / 1B / Reading Memorial, MA / 2020

Game Notes: A projectable lefty, McFadden works from a high ¾ slot with a long, easy, and clean arm action. The delivery is simple, the mechanics were online, and he gets some extension down the mound with a good stride. Does a sound job finding his release point considering age and size, as he’s 6-foot-7. The fastball featured good armside run, coming in late when working down in the zone, coming in between 81-84 MPH. Two offspeed offerings, with comfort going to the change against opposing handed hitters at 76-78 MPH. Mixes in a two-plane slider between 73-75 MPH. McFadden finished his outing with two strikeouts.
