New England Insider: Updated Class of 2020 Player Rankings (August)

Throughout the year we have traveled across the region to showcases and games. The spring/summer have proved valuable for many 2020 prospects, with many names coming off the board to some of the top programs around the nation. Below we will take a look at “What’s New At The Top”, "The Risers", "The Newcomers" and the top uncommitted prospects available.

That being said, we have had the pleasure of seeing a number of solid players this past year. Prospects are popping up left and right, making velocity jumps, improving 60-yard dash times and showing more power with the bat.

Covering six states, New England is a prime area for legit baseball talent and now we would like to bring to you the updated and expanded 2020 Player Rankings.

What's New At The Top

  • Matt Joyce still holds the top spot in our rankings as he is coming off a banner HS campaign, parlayed into an appearance at the Area Codes in Long Beach.
  • Left-hander Ryan Murphy also attended Long Beach and check in at number 2.
  • Two newcomers are Brendan O’Donnell (Video below) and Nigel Belgrave.
