Wisconsin Class of 2024 Rankings: Risers

Wisconsin Staff

On Wednesday, the PBR Wisconsin staff published a major update to the state’s Class of 2024 rankings, expanding the board to a top-150 overall after a critical Preseason ID circuit for this group, following an important offseason that preceded the players’ junior spring season.

In that first piece, our staff broke down the players ranked at the top of the board, as well as the names who made seismic leaps into the top-25. Today, we’re going to continue to take a magnifying glass to this class by highlighting the players beyond the top-25 who are making strides up the board in this update nonetheless.

ON-THE-RISE JUNIORS

As a former PBR Future Games participant, MIF Keagen Jirschele (Mosinee; uncommitted) is making his most significant jump inside of our 2024 rankings board, up to No. 27 in this update. Standing at a compact and athletic 5-foot-9, 175-pounds, Jirschele is a sure-handed defender, equipped with 6.82 speed that will certainly allow him to stick to either of the middle infield positions at the next-level. At the plate, he is short and quick to the ball, and features some surprising pop to all parts of the field. Most recently, Jirschele and his Mosinee squad traveled down to The Rock Complex for the PBR at The Rock High School Invitational in April. There, Jirschele looked the part of quality defender up the middle, and he flashed some power potential with a deep double to the left-center wall. While we have long known of Jirschele’s athleticism and sneaky bat strength, and he's even continued to add some more muscle to his build since we last saw him. He continues to demonstrate a knack for the barrel and the ability to use it to all fields, which is what has helped him rise inside this update.
