TOP TEN RANKINGS RISERS
Steele Eaves C / RHP / Lonoke, AR / 2024
Rankings StateRank: 4 / POS: 1
Eaves sees his stock take a big jump to number 4 on the list after reports of a large jump on the mound in the past couple of months. The right-hander has seen the fastball start to work in the low 90's and pairs it with pitchability giving him starter potential at the next level. The Arkansas commit is able to generate a lot of power out of his already physical lower half and should only continue to climb in velocity as he continues to add strength and experience in the future.

Eli Crecelius RHP / 1B / Valley View, AR / 2024
Rankings StateRank: 5 / POS: 3
Crecelius is another big mover into the top 10 in this update after he also made a strong jump in velocity in stuff over the past couple of months. The Arkansas commit has been working the fastball in the low 90's with an ease of operation and showing strong command and feel for both the slider and changeup. Crecelius has a very smooth and repeatable delivery that translates to repeatable strikes with all three pitches and with his current physical build, he has the makings of a potential starter at the next level.

RANKINGS RISERS
Conner Cunningham SS / Conway, AR / 2024
Rankings StateRank: 15 / POS: 2
The Murray State commit sees his stock rise to number 15 on the list in this rankings update after a strong summer and fall slate. The left-handed hitter has one of the easier strokes in the class with strong use of the lower half to help him match plane and showing a strong ability to control the barrel in the zone. Cunningham has some sneaky pop as well showing some strength in the hands at contact the combined with his barrel control, makes him one of the tougher outs in the class.
|
Luke Lorence RHP / SS / Little Rock Central, AR / 2024
Rankings StateRank: 25 / POS: 10
Lorence has continued to see his stock rise in the past couple of updates and moves up again in this installment up to number 25 on the list. The UCA commit works with an athletic delivery to delivery fastballs in the upper 80s and touching 90 and a hard downer curveball in the upper 70's. With his present athleticism and projectable 6-foot-1 and 185-pound frame, Lorence has the type of build and hand speed to continue to see larger jumps in the near future.
|
Caleb Champion CF / 2B / Rogers, AR / 2024
Rankings StateRank: 24 / POS: 1
Champion continues to see his stock rise in the 2024 class moving up to number 24 in this installment. The left-handed hitting outfielder has a well-sequenced stroke with some quick twitch in the core and hands. He understands how to get the most leverage out of his 6-foot-3 and 160-pound frame giving him potential for extra base power. The SEMO commit pairs the smooth swing with his high-end athleticism with 60 times in the low 6.6 range making him a perfect table setting option at the next level.

UNCOMMITTED PROSPECTS TO KEEP AN EYE ON
Carter Nye SS / RHP / Bentonville , AR / 2024
Rankings StateRank: 32 / POS: 3
Nye ranks as the top uncommitted prospect still left on the board for the 2024 class coming in at number 32. Nye checks a lot of the physical and athletic boxes teams at the next level are looking for with a sub 7 second 60, 85 mph from the infield, and producing exit velocities up to 94.4 mph. He also shows some promise on the mound working the fastball into the mid 80's with a deceptive delivery giving teams still looking for prospects to round out their recruiting class plenty of options.
|
Joe Castillo 1B / RHP / Little Rock Catholic, AR / 2024
Rankings StateRank: 39 / POS: 2
Castillo checks in at number 39 on this list as one of the top remaining uncommitted power bats left in the class. The physical 6-foot-4 and 190-pound first baseman uses his longer levers at the plate and ability to stay behind the ball at contact to generate exit velocities into the mid 90's. Castillo has proven himself with his ability to hit higher-end pitching and with his build and natural strength, don't be surprised to see him make yet another jump with the bat in the near future.
|
Caleb Johnson C / SS / Harmony Grove Camden, AR / 2024
Rankings StateRank: 45 / POS: 7
Johnson ranks as the top uncommitted backstop in the 2024 class and should be one for schools at the next level to take a closer look at. Offensively, he has shown above average strength with the barrel working exit velocities over 100 mph with some quick whip through the zone. He has a quick release behind the plate with pop times ranging between 1.94-2.0 and can even shift over to the infield with smooth actions and feel for glove action. A sub 7 second runner, Johnson checks a lot of boxes and should be primed for a role at the next level.
