Arkansas 2026 Class Rankings Update: Fall Edition

Arkansas Staff

The fall season has wrapped and we dive into the updated 2026 class rankings as we head into winter workouts.  The Top 10 remains largely intact since our last update and we take a look at some of the prospects that caught our attention at October's Natural State Games.  The rankings expands to 100 players as we start to get a little more familiarity with the class and will continue to see shuffling and additions as more prospects start to earn their way into meaningful play in the spring time.

The Top 10 remains largely the same since our last update minus the rise of left-hander Trystan Newberry shooting all the way up to number 6 on the list.  The two Razorback commits remain at the top with the talented backstop in Keaton Mathis maintaining his spot at number 1 and Marcus Bates maintaining his spot at number 2.  Owen Roach showed his promise this past summer at the East Arkansas open solidifying his spot at number 3 and Shaun Cover impressing at the Future Games stays at number 4.  Stein saw his stock rise in the last update and keeps his spot at number 5 in this update.  Tatum stays at number 7 after his Future Games debut and a strong showing at the Natural State Games in October.  Davenport checks in at number 8 in the update after showing his high spinning fastballs in the mid 80's at the Natural State Games.  Parker King retains the number 9 spot as one of the more athletic prospects in the class and rounding out the Top 10 is Levi Martin with his high upside on both sides of the ball.

PROSPECTS THAT CAUGHT OUR ATTENTION THIS FALL

Trystan Newberry LHP / OF / Russellville, AR / 2026

Newberry's stock rose all the way to number 6 in this update after an impressive showing at the Natural State Games.  The 6-foot-1 188 pound left-hander works the fastball up to 87 mph and showcased a tight breaking ball in the mid 70's and feel for a firm changeup.  He also offers some thump with the bat working exit velocities up to 92.8 mph from the left side.

Notes from the Natural State Games

"Newberry has filled out his frame and it is showed in event. Simple swing with repeated barrels and gap to gap power taking an easy BP. Off the mound Newberry had one of the highest velocity fastballs in event. Three pitch mix that shows tunneling capabilites with a swing and miss curveball at times. Clean arm swing with much to like as he continues to progress."

Max Holland C / 2B / Conway, AR / 2026

The 6-foot and 180 pound back stop checks in at number 15 in this update after putting together a strong workout at the Natural State Games.  Holland has a quick release from behind the plate that can produce pop times up to 1.93 with arm strength reaching up to 77 mph from the crouch.  Holland uses his advanced bat speed to generate hard contact into the low 90's offering a potential offensive threat at the catcher position in the future.

Notes from the Natural State Games

"Advanced catch and throw with arm strength. Easy actions behind the plate, Holland shows a mature skill set. Offensively Max has a controlled setup with consistent path to contact to go with loud contact and power to the pull side."

Major Jackson OF / RHP / Pulaski Academy, AR / 2026

Major was another standout at the Natural State Games and lands at number 26 in this rankings update.  The outfielder from Pulaski stands at an athletic 6-foot and 180 pounds and uses his leverage to his advantage at the plate to generate exit velocities up to 92.5 mph thanks to quick hands through the zone.  Jackson still has plenty of room to add strength and will be an interesting follow in the coming years.

Notes from the Natural State Games

"Major continues to get more physical each time we see him. Consistent barrels  in batting practice with increasing power to all fields, Jackson is one to watch as he continues to mature."

Willy Voss SS / OF / Conway, AR / 2026

Voss stands at a long and lean 6-foot-3 and 168 pounds shows a well-balanced swing from the left side with natural leverage to generate exit velocities up to 88 mph.  Voss offers up some positional versatility being able to man both the outfield and smooth actions in the infield even with his taller frame.  Voss has plenty of room to add strength in the future to get the most out of his projectable frame.

Notes from the Natural State Games

"Long lean frame with easy actions, Voss showed a clean repeatable swing throughout BP and in live at bats. Strength will be Voss's friend as he continues to develop."

Cooper Bode OF / 1B / Brookland , AR / 2026

Bode showed off some hand strength from the left side to reach exit velocities up to 88 mph with a simple linear swing and easy repeatable mechanics.  Bode has plenty of room to continue to add strength and should see bigger jumps in the near future.

Notes from the Natural State Games

"Throw back sweet swinging left handed swing. Bode can hit and its easy producing consistent line drives with ease. Bode is a one to watch as he continues to add strength to his frame."
