Prep Baseball Iowa Rising Stars ID- Iowa City: Data Dive

The Prep Baseball IA Rising Stars ID event took place Sunday, February 18th, 2024. The event was held at Diamond Dreams Baseball Academy in North Liberty, IA. The event featured prospects from the 2028 grad class; and included many breakout performances from this year's participants. Players showcased their talents and were evaluated by our scouting staff. Thank you to the players, parents, and my staff; for a great event.

For most participants, this will be their first showcase event - an initial step toward achieving a player’s baseball goals. Overall the event has four main functions.

Part of this event is educational with a lecture about what scouts look for, how to comport themselves, what to expect in the recruiting process, and the overall landscape of playing at the next level.

The second function of this is for players to create baseline numbers for themselves to improve and see where they compare to other players their age across the state.

The third reason for this event is for PBR to have an in-depth look at the best young players and the future of the state. 

The fourth function of the event is to identify players to represent the states of Iowa & Nebraska at the PBR Junior Future Games held at LakePoint in Cartersville GA in July of 2024.

There were a number of great individual performances this year at the Prep Baseball IA Rising Stars ID event.
