With 2023 now in the past, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage that can be found anywhere in 2024. Starting in February, we began releasing team previews for squads across the state. Ahead, we will have Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings coming your way.

2024 Spring Team Preview: Canal Fulton Northwest Indians

Team Name: Canal Fulton Northwest Indians
Head Coach: Donnie Macko

2023 Record: 12-13
2023 Tourney Finish: Sectional Finals loss to Mentor Lake Catholic
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 5/6

Coach Outlook: "This group has a lot of character and wants to compete. We will have a strong top end of our rotation and be solid through the middle of our lineup. There will be a lot of competition to fill key positions around the diamond as we graduated our 4 seniors that were 3 year starters."

  • Jake Wells 6'2" 230 R/R, 3B/RHP, 2024: 4 year starter, 1st Team All-Pac, .321 AVG, 16 RBI 6 2B. 26.1 IP, 3-2, 30K 4.1 ERA
  • Hunter Langenfeld 5'10" L/L , LHP/OF, 2024, 3 year starter, Walsh Commit, Honorable Mention All-Pac. 29.1 IP, 2-2, 50K, 3.1 ERA./.308 Avg, 7R
  • Aidan Robinson, 6'4" 237 2025, 1B/RHP, 2 year starter, 41.1 IP 2-3, 1SV, 41k, 4.2 ERA
  • Branded Miller, 5'5" 140 R/R 2025 SS/2B, 2 year starter, solid defender who started 21 games last year at 2B.
  • Parker Kraft, 5'7" 165, L/L 2025, OF, Started 24 of 25 games in RF last year providing solid defense. Scored 15 Runs and drove in 11.
  • Alex Mencini 5'10" 165 R/R, 2026 OF/RHP: Played in 15 games last year as a freshman with a .425 OBP, tallied 10 RBI's
  • Evan Cannon 2024, LHP, Missed most of last year due to injury after starting as a freshman and sophmore, for his career he has 19GP, 12 GS, 60 IP, 5-2, 3.21 ERA

  • Sean Ritchey RHP/UTIL, Missed most of last season due to lisfranc injury. Appeared in 2 games on the mound 5.2 IP, 1SV, 0 ER
  • Josh Smith C/RHP Missed most of the season due to dislocated ankle. Hit .308 with a 2b and Hr in 20 PA.
  • Landon Martin, C
