Prep Baseball Oklahoma hosted the second annual OKC Preseason ID at D-BAT OKC on January 27th featuring 40 players from the 2024 class to some up-and-coming prospects of the 2028 class.  The event featured a pro-style workout with BP, defensive evaluations, laser timed 30 yard dashes, and bullpens.  The event was tracked with data from our tech partners Trackman, Blast Motion, and Swift Labs with more coming from that data later this week.  Today we take a look at some of the top performers from the event with quick notes and videos on 14 players that had strong days.

Bentley Seeberger C / RHP / Duncan, OK / 2027 Seeberger continues to show why he is one of the top 2-way prospects in OK for the 27 class after another strong performance at the OKC Preseason ID.  He led the way at the event with a top exit velo of 96.9 mph and an impressive 86.8 mph average across his round.  The raw arm strength showed on both sides of the ball but especially from behind the plate where he reached 82 mph and had showcase pop times ranging from 1.96-2.16.  Seeberger is able to create a ton of sinking action on the fastball working up to 84 on Saturday and shows tight spin on an upper 70's slider that has potential as a swing and miss pitch.

Cooper Frazier RHP / SS / Cascia Hall Prep, OK / 2025 Frazier impressed on both sides of the ball with exit velos up to 88 mph and showing some raw arm strength across the diamond at 85 mph, but it was his work on the mound that leaves a ton of room for projection.  Frazier's fastball worked up to 85 mph but the hand speed on the mound clearly screams for more in the future as he continues to add strength.  It was his wipeout slider with sweeping action up to 77 mph and 2857 rpm spin that stole the show.  Frazier's potential has one of the higher ceilings in the class and should be one to keep an eye on heading into the spring.

Kaden Longman C / OF / Newcastle, OK / 2026 When it comes to pure arm strength, there aren't too many that can match Longman in OK in the 2026 class.  Longman led the event with a top fastball velo at 86.3 mph with strong riding life through the zone.  He is also able to tap into the arm strength on the other side of the ball where he reached 90 mph from the OF and 82 mph from behind the plate to generate showcase pop times at 1.87-2.06.  Longman still has plenty of room to continue to add strength making him a very intriguing follow in the coming future.

Bradyn McGowen OF / Edmond Memorial, OK / 2026 The sophomore outfielder from Edmond Memorial always seems to impress with the bat when we get eyes on him and Saturday did not disappoint.  McGowen had a max exit velocity up to 94 mph and an event best 88.2 mph average across his round.  He is able to generate a ton of strength in the barrel thanks to a strong core and ability to stay behind the ball at contact well and hit off a firm front side.   With McGowan's present strength and well-put together swing, don't be surprised to hear his name come up more often as a potential riser in the class.

Tylon Holman OF / RHP / Carl Albert, OK / 2024 The OKC Preseason ID was our first look at Holman and he put the type of tools on display that should garner some attention.  Holman put up one of the fastest 30 times at the event and showed his natural athleticism jumping 30 inches on the jump mat.  He used his simple and repeatable swing mechanics to generate exit velos into the upper 80's and showcased a big arm in the outfield reaching 88 mph.  He even showed some promise on the mound with a clean and easy arm action that worked fastballs up to 84 mph and showed tight spin on a low 70's breaking ball.

Titan Callshim 3B / 2B / Ponca City, OK / 2024 Callshim showed some serious hand strength with the bat reaching exit velocities up to 94.4 mph and a strong average of 87.5 mph.  He has a strong combination of quick hands, bat speed, and strong rotational accelration to create that barrel strength and shows strong balance at the plate as well.  Defensively, Callshim moves freely with strong glove action and clean and quick transfers out of the glove.

Landon Schmidt OF / RHP / Edmond Memorial, OK / 2027 The freshman outfielder has some of the best raw power in the 2027 class in Oklahoma and put that on display Saturday at the OKC Preseason ID.  Schmidt used his quick hands and advanced strength to work exit velocities up to 94.6 mph with balls jumping off the barrel at ease to all fields.  Schmidt has strong balance to cover his linear swing and takes quick and efficent routes to the ball giving him the potential for a high hit tool in the future.  He also put together one of the quickest 30 times in the event showing the strong physical/athletic combo that should continue to see improvements in his game in the coming years.

Luke Franks C / 3B / Lincoln Christian, OK / 2027 The freshman backstop from Lincoln Christian was one of the bigger winners from the evnet with a strong showing at the OKC Preseason ID.  Standing at 6-foot and a physical 183 pounds, Franks was able use his high end hand speed and strong rotational acceleration to generate exit velos up to 92.8 mph.  He also showed strong skills behind the plate with 75 mph from behind the plate yielding pop times as low as 2.06.  With his size and present strength, Franks will continue to be a fun follow in the coming years as he continues to gain experience.

Creed Rogers 3B / 1B / Davis, OK / 2028 While he is yet to step foot into a high school classroom, 2028 grad Creed Rogers showed some impressive tools worth mentioning at the OKC Preseason ID.  The 5-foot-11 and 206 pound infielder used advanced hand speed for his class to generate hard contact up to 92.2 mph.  While the swing still has some refinement left to go, at his young age and his ability to create hard contact should make him a fun follow in the coming years.

Isaac Beeson 3B / RHP / Heritage Hall, OK / 2026 The 2-way prospect from Heritage Hall continues to show high potential with strong tools and room for added strength and size in the future.  Beeson put together a strong offensive performance that saw exit velos up to 90.7 mph and a strong 87.2 mph average.  Currently the fastball is working into the low 80's but it's the spin on the breaking ball that excites with good depth and tight spin.  Don't be surprised to see Beeson continue to make big jumps on both sides of the ball in the near future.

Beckham Johnson C / 2B / Stillwater, OK / 2028 Even at his younger age, Johnson is showing some skills that seem to be on the higher end for the 2028 class and still has plenty of room to grow.  Offensively, Johnson has a very well-put together swing with strong sequencing that allowed him to reach exit velos up to 89.9 mph from the right side.  In the infield, Johnson has a feel for footwork and glove action and really impressed in his showing from behind the plate with strong receiving skills.  When the transfer is right, the ball has strong carry to the bag and should continue to see his numbers improve as he gains strength and experience.

Tucker Brown SS / OF / Mustang, OK / 2027 The freshman from Mustang showed some skills at the OKC Preseason that offer a ton of future projectability, especially at the plate.  Brown has natural lift to the swing with strong rotation around the core to generate exit velos up to 89.5 mph and a strong 84.7 mph average.  In the infield, Brown moves freely with the footwork and has the potential to be a rangy middle infielder with some refinement and experience added in the future.

Wade Webb OF / 3B / Mount St Mary's, OK / 2027 Webb continues to show the type of skills that justify him near the top of the 2027 class with another strong showing at the OKC Preseason ID.  Webb generated exit velos up to 89.3 mph and an average of 83.7 mph with one of the better line drive approaches at the event.  Webb is able to use the entire field well with strong balance and an advanced feel for the barrel in the zone.  Webb also shows strong athleticism and positional versatility offering up a ton of options for his future.  Look for Webb to continue to see big jumps as he gains strength and experience in the coming years.

Boux DeLong SS / 2B / Macarthur, OK / 2025 The left-handed hitting middle infielder from Lawton put a strong swing on display at the OKC Preseason ID that generated exit velocities up to 89.2 mph and an average of 82.7 mph.  What was most impressive was his ablility to generate a ton of power from the lower half and help match plane showing advanced barrel control skills.  In the infield, DeLong shows strong footwork and rangy feet to cover a ton of ground and displays a feel for glove action and soft hands.
