Division 1 Playoffs

Beaver Dam 9, Manitowoc Lincoln 5
Five first-inning runs helped Beaver Dam to a 9-5 win over Manitowoc Lincoln in their first round playoff match up.

Quinn McCallum racked up three RBI on three hits for the Golden Beavers. He singled in the first, fifth, and seventh innings.

Matt Berg recorded the win for Beaver Dam even though he allowed five runs over five innings. He struck out five, walked two and surrendered eight hits.

Beaver Dam will take on top seed Sun Prairie on Thursday May 30.

Neenah 7, Green Bay Preble 4
Connor Wollersheim threw six scoreless innings to lift the Neenah Rockets to a 7-4 win over Green Bay Preble, advancing to the next round to take on Appleton North.

Neenah got their bats going early, scoring three runs in the first inning to pull ahead of Green Bay Preble.

Rockets' Sam Erickson was perfect at the dish, going 2-for-2. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fifth inning. He also drove in two runs and scored one.

Neenah pushed across two runs in both the second inning and the third. In the second, Neenah scored on an RBI single by Jake Formella, plating Nick Munce.

De Pere 3, Appleton East 2

Oregon 4, Monona Grove 1

Milton 3, Verona Area 2
Milton rode the bat and arm of Tyler Westrick to secure the 3-2 win over Verona Area.

Westrick went 3-for-4 from the plate driving in two runs. He also picked up the win in relief working three innings, allowing just one hit and one walk while striking out one.

Milton will now take on Janesville Craig on Thursday May 30.

River Falls 5, Superior 1
Superior fell to the River Falls Wildcats 5-1 in seven innings on Tuesday at Superior.

Spencer Severson pitched lights out for the Spartans. River Falls managed just one hit off of Severson, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his three innings of work.

Eau Claire North 5, Menomonie 2

Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln 11, Chippewa Falls 5
Despite Chase Stoffel's 2-for-4 performance at the plate on Tuesday, the Chippewa Falls Cardinals took a 11-5 loss at the hands of Wisconsin Rapids.

Wisconsin Rapids' Jake Hartman, Brennen Bauer, Ben Cattaneca and Matt White combined for seven hits and six RBI.

Wisconsin Rapids never trailed after scoring three runs in the third on an RBI double by Hartman, an error, and a sacrifice fly by Brandon Kuhn.

Merrill 9, New Richmond 3
Merrill blew out New Richmond 9-3 on Tuesday after pouring on five runs in the sixth inning.

Tom Zuelsdorff racked up five RBI on two hits for Merrill. He singled in the first inning and homered in the sixth inning.

Coleton Bloch's eight strikeouts were enough to secure the win. Bloch allowed one earned run on seven hits and two walks over seven innings.

Milwaukee South 14, Milwaukee Bay View 4

Milwaukee Madison Northwest 9, Milwaukee Washington 6

Milwaukee Pulaksi 6, Milwaukee Bradley Tech 3

Westosha Central 7, Waterford Union 6
Travis Knudsvig went 2-for-3 as Westosha Central took home a 7-6 regional victory over Waterford.

James Gorsline got the win for the Falcons despite allowing six runs over seven innings. Gorsline struck out five, walked seven and gave up 10 hits.

Westosha Central will take on top seeded Kenosha Bradford on Thursday May 30.

Burlington 5, Racine Park 0
The Burlington Demons beat Racine Park 5-0 in seven innings on Tuesday behind Chandler Meseberg, who went 2-for-2. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Mark Wallace struck out six, paving the way for the Demons win. He gave up just three hits over five shutout innings.

Burlington now takes on Badger in their second round match up.

Osceola beat Amery 5-3 behind the arm of Alex Freese.

Alex Freese struck out six, paving the way for a Chieftains win. Freese allowed no earned runs, six hits and three walks over seven innings.

Wisconsin Dells jumped out to an early lead on Wautoma and captured a 12-0 victory on Tuesday.

Ten runs in the first three innings allowed the Chiefs to put the game away early.

Colyn Buss had an impressive outing against Wautoma's lineup. Wautoma managed just one hit off of Buss, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his three innings of work.

Edgewood 6, Marshall 3
Zach Harrington recorded the win for Edgewood . He allowed two runs over 4 1/3 innings. Harrington struck out six, walked four and gave up six hits.

Edgewood closer Paul Mutch put away the final eight outs to record the save.

Edgewood now takes on Lodi for the Regional Championship

Big Foot 7, Turner 2
Alex Landers drove in the go-ahead run to give Big Foot the lead in the eighth inning, as the Chiefs put up five runs in the eighth to win the extra inning affair.

After Carter Hehr tripled, Alex Landers came to the plate with the score tied at two, and singled, bringing home Hehr.

Zak Greco racked up two RBI on three hits for Big Foot. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the seventh and eighth innings.

Austin Hoey's nine strikeouts were enough to push Big Foot past Turner. Hoey allowed two earned runs on three hits and five walks over eight innings.

Big Foot will take on Edgerton in a Regional Final match up.

Winneconne 4, Winnebago Lutheran Academy 1

Waupun 10, Lake Mills 1
No. 1 seed Waupun refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against Lake Mills, recording a 10-1 victory on Tuesday at The Gus.

With seven runs in the first three innings, the Warriors left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

An RBI single by Jordan Moul in the first inning and a home run by Jordan Daane during the second inning helped Waupun Warriors Varsity put some runs on the board early. Daane racked up five RBI on two hits for Waupun.

Arik Tavs's 10 strikeouts led the Warriors on the mound, he allowed one earned run on two hits and eight walks over 6 2/3 innings.

Waupun will take on the winner of Lakeside Lutheran and Watertown Luther Prep who were postponed yesterday due to rain.

Racine St. Catherine’s 11, Whitewater 3
The St. Catherine's Angels blew out Whitewater 11-3 at Horlick Field after pouring on six runs in the fourth inning.

Eric Weisbrod racked up three RBI on two hits for the Angels. He doubled in the first and sixth innings.

Eric Eitel got the win for the St. Catherine's thanks to seven strikeouts. Eitel allowed two earned runs on six hits and one walk over six innings.

The lead stayed with the St. Catherine's Angels Varsity after the first, when they scored two runs on a two-run single by Jimmy Carrington.

St. Catherine’s will now take on Indian Trail for the regional championship.

Nathan Jack did all he could to give St. Mary Central a boost, but it wasn't enough to get past Brillion, as St. Mary Central Zephyrs Varsity lost 3-2 in seven innings at Brillion on Tuesday.

The Zephyrs were led by Nathan Jack's hitting. Jack went 2-for-3 and drove in one. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the third inning.

Brillion was sparked by Stever and Krueger, who teamed up for five hits and two RBI.

Brillion faces Bonduel on May 29th to decide the regional championship.

Aquinas 6, Luther 1
Rudy Rott went 2-for-3, helping the Blugolds to a 6-1 victory over Onalaska Luther. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third inning, also scoring three runs.

Chris Cavadini shut down Onalaska Luther while he was on the rubber. Luther managed just one hit off of the Blugolds' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out two during his 4 1/3 innings of work.

Blugolds closer Nolan Ritter put away the final eight outs to record the save.

Aquinas will now take on Westby in a Regional Championship game.

Peter Menges carried Manitowoc Lutheran to a 11-1 victory over Mishicot on Tuesday with a strong game at the plate and on the mound.

Menges racked up three RBI on two hits for the Lancers. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Menges looked sharp on the mound. He gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his five innings of work.

Manitowoc Lutheran takes on Gibraltar for the Regional final on Wednesday May 29.

Montello 6, Pardeeville 4
Montello trailed by three in the sixth but the Hilltoppers rallied for six runs in their last at bats to take the lead and win by a score of 6-4.

Carter Daniels got it done on the mound on the way to a win. He allowed one run over 1 2/3 innings. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Deerfield 7, Waterloo 1
Ben Lincks did his best to will Waterloo to a win with a two-hit game, but Waterloo dropped a 7-1 contest to Deerfield.

Lincks got a hit in each of his two at bats. He homered in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Cole Erickson, Brandon Ehrke and Nick Jensen helped lead Deerfield. They combined for six hits and five RBI.

Sevastopol lost 7-5 in seven innings on Tuesday, despite outhitting Gresham 13 to five.

It was a good day at the plate for Sevastopol Pioneers Varsity's Cody Giesseman. Giesseman went 3-for-4, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

Scott Cerveny got the win for Gresham despite allowing five runs over seven innings. He struck out four, walked two and surrendered 13 hits.
