SENATOBIA, MS - The North Mississippi Fall ID was held on Saturday, September 9th at Northwest Mississippi CC in Senatobia, MS. This event was an open event that consisted of some of the top prospects from the 2024-2026 classes across all parts of Mississippi. These players went through extended pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman, ran the 60 yard dash using Swift Performance, and much more. Pitchers were able to throw in simulated bullpens during the workout and were able to get numbers and metrics. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing at the event.

Drew Busby, Lewisburg (MS), 2024
Positional Profile: SS/3B
Body: 5-10, 160-pounds. Projectable frame
Hit: LHH. Wider, balanced stance with higher hand set just behind head Controlled load and small stride. fairly level bat path with occasional launch and some aggression into contact. Middle to pull side approach. Next level bat 68.7 mph bat speed with 13 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 91 max exit velocity, averaged 84.6 mph. 337' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-83 mph. Short, quick arm action
Defense: Polished look on infield. Works well to the basebalkl. Solid range and tranfers. Strong accurate arm.

Brayden Edmiston, New Hope (MS), 2026
Positional Profile: 1B/3B
Body: 6-5, 180-pounds. Tall, wiry frame
Hit: LHH. Conventional width in stance with slight preset load. Hand set right above back shoulder. Controlled load with toe tap into stride. Uses leverage well. Slightly upward bat path and attacks out front well. Middle to pull side approach. 65.5 mph bat speed with 14 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 86 max exit velocity, averaged 80.3 mph. 255' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-81 mph. Long, loose arm action
Defense: Solid footwork around the 1B bag. Still maturing with body. Good transfers and accurate strong throws to other bags.

Ethan Wright, Independence (MS), 2024
Positional Profile: 2B/RHP
Body: 6-4, 175-pounds. Lean, wiry frame
Hit: RHH. Wider, slightly closed off and balanced stance with normal hand set. Slight preset load Small controlled load with longer stride. Attacks the baseball out front with aggression and some launch. Pull side approach. 63.8 mph bat speed with 26 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 92 max exit velocity, averaged 82.8 mph. 292' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-81 mph. Short, though quick arm action
Defense: Developing footwork and body positioning. Very raw on defense with some intriguing upside.

Kolby Baker, North Delta (MS), 2025
Positional Profile: SS/OF
Body: 5-9, 150-pounds. Lean, projectable frame
Hit: RHH. Wider, yet balanced stance, slight preset load. Hands just above and inside back shoulder Works the middle of the field well with level bat path and line drive approach 60.9 mph bat speed with 13 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 83 max exit velocity, averaged 75.5 mph. 232' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-79 mph. OF-81 mph. Quick arm action
Defense: OF: Athletic footwork, fields baseball outfront to glove side. Decent arm strength with accuracy on throws. INF: Solid footwork on infield.Tends to let the glove work outside the body on balls directly at him. Good range with accuracy on throws.

Body: 6-1, 175-pounds. Lean, wiry frame
Hit: LHH. Tall, athletic looking stance with hands relaxed and inside back shoulder. Smooth, controlled load and stride. Hands separate into stride with very solid line drive and middle of the field approach. Finds gaps 68.9 mph bat speed with 17 G's of rotational acceleration.

Defense: OF: Advanced footwork in outfield. Fields baseball out front, glove side. Solid arm. INF: Good footwork on infield as well. Solid hands and transfers,. Accurate on throws. Looks to be sure handed in multiple positions.

Carson Schmelzer, Oxford (MS), 2024
Positional Profile: 1B/3B
Body: 6-3, 210-pounds. Large, durable frame
Hit: RHH. Wider, balanced stance with fairly normal hand set. Easy load and stride as hands drop into slot. Small knee lift with level bat path. Looks to drive the baseball with tons of aggression. 77.4 mph bat speed with 10 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 99 max exit velocity, averaged 93.5 mph. 338' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-78 mph. OF-78 mph. Long arm action
Defense: OF: Decent footwork and fields the baseball to glove side with some accuracy and developing arm strength. INF: Good footwork and body positioning. Corner infield ability with developing arm.
