Fairfield Warde vs Notre Dame Fairfield 3.31.18

By Trevor Brown
New England Co-Director of Scouting

Chris Saladin, RHP, 2020, Fairfield Warde
Report: A right-handed pitcher with a tall athletic build. His fastball sat between 84-86, while his breaking ball sat between 75-78. He mixed in a changeup occasionally that was around 76-77. He starts his hands high and has a ¾ delivery. Also has a long stride to the plate. He overpowered hitters often in this game, and used his breaking ball to keep hitters off balanced very well. He pitched 5 innings, while allowing just two hits and one run (unearned). He struck out nine and walked four. The velocity on his fastball should continue to climb as he adds strength. Definitely someone to keep an eye on.
