As we get prepared for our premiere event of the year in the Preseason All-State, we start the process by breaking down each individual attendee with notes on videos their game.  The Preseason All-State attracts some of the top talent from all across the state creating platforms and driving eye-balls for recruiters and scouts at the next level to help guide them throughout the spring recruiting.  This year's event will take place once again at Oral Roberts University of February 11th featuring a pro-style workout with data collected by our tech partners, social media coverage, and updated video for the profile.

Cooper Zeiders 3B / 2B / Choctaw, OK / 2025 Zeiders last competed at the OKC Open this past summer where the left-handed hitter showed advanced barrel control and hands working hard to the inside part of the ball.  Zeiders takes direct routes to the ball with a level bat path and a line drive approach.  Zeiders fields with active feet and a sure glove with the ability to field the ball on the move with strong lateral range.  Zeiders is a known producer who's production will out perform his measurables and he will look to improve some metrics next week at the Preseason All-State.

Curtis Waters OF / 2B / Owasso, OK / 2025 It's been a year since we last saw Water's a the 2023 Preseason All-State and he will look to improve upon his numbers heading into his Junior campaign.  Waters has quick hands through the zone and strong rotation around the core at the plate that should translate into more jumps in exit velocity as he continues to add strength.  His top tool is his arm strength where he worked the ball across the diamond at 81 mph and 82 mph from the outfield.  Waters will also take the mound next week where he will look to use that arm strength to put up bigger numbers.

Jackson Turney 1B / LHP / Sand Springs, OK / 2026 Turney has been on the radar for a few years as one of the top power bats in the 2026 class and putting up big performances as a freshman for the Sandites last spring.  Turney has reached exit velos up to 96.5 mph in the past and a strong average of 90.3 mph across a round.  Additionally, Turney has been working the past couple of months of transforming his body and leaning out the frame which should allow the hands to work even faster at the plate.  Turney's proven production at the plate combined with his natural power makes him one of the top follows in the 2026 class in OK.

Jay Stefansky OF / OF / Edmond Memorial, OK / 2025 We haven't had a chance to see Stefansky in awhile but the athletic outfielder from Edmond Memorial will look to impress at next week's Preseason All-State.  Stefansky proved at a young age that he has the high end athleticism running a 6.91 60 2 years ago to go along with exit velos up to 89.4 mph in the past.  With his advanced athleticism showing at a younger age, Stefansky is one of the more intriguing prospects to watch headed into next week's event.

Jase Winchester SS / 2B / Edmond Memorial, OK / 2026 Winchester has proven himself already in his young high school career as one of the top defensive short stops in the state after an impressive campaign for the Bulldogs in 2023.  His actions are advanced with enough arm strength to remain at the position in the future and he shows a strong internal clock with smooth rhythm.  Offensively, he's worked exit velos up to 90.1 mph thanks to strong rotation and bat speed.  The bat has begun to catch up with his high end defensive abilities and will be a fun follow over the next couple of years.

Clark Sanford C / 2B / Holland Hall, OK / 2026 Sanford showed strong skills in last summer's Marucci Midwest Scout Day and will enter next week's Preseason All-State to improve his numbers.  Sanford has a linear swing that generated exit velos up to 87 mph hitting off a firm front leg and showing strong extension.  Behind the plate he showed a quick release with pop times reaching as low as 2.01 and showed a feel for blocking with a soft body.

Aidan Tomlinson OF / RHP / Dewar, OK / 2025 The OU commit has made big strides since we last saw him at the 2023 Preseason All-State and will look to continue to rise his stock at next week's event.  Tomlinson stands at a physical 6-foot-6 and 210 pounds and recent looks at him show the fastball has taken a big jump into the low 90's with explosive hand speed.  He also uses his natural leverage at the plate to generate exit velocities up to 89.6 mph making him an interesting 2-way prospect to follow.  With a strong performance, Tomlinson has a chance to see a big jump in his stock as he heads into his Junior season.

Reid Samson OF / LHP / Ada, OK / 2024 Samson last took the mound in front of us at the OKC Sandlot Scout Day where the left-hander worked the fastball up to 77 mph with a clean delivery and arm action.  Standing at 6-foot-3 and 190-pounds, Samson has shown more arm strength from the outfield up to 83 mph which bodes well for more coming on the mound.  He shows feel for flipping in the breaking ball with slurvy shape and also matches the pair with a heavy fading change up in the lower 70's.

Ty Talkington C / SS / Moore, OK / 2025 The Junior prospect from Moore has shown some positional versatility in the past both as a catch and throw back stop and infielder.  Talkington gained valuable experience as a sophomore hitting at the top of the Lions' lineup with an aggressive swing and strong rotation.  Defensively, Moore shows feel for routes working around the ball in the infield and has produced pop times as low as 1.98 in the past.

McGwire West LHP / OF / Verdigris, OK / 2026 The 2-way prospect from Verdigris last put his skills on display in front of us at the Oklahoma Canes Scout day back in October.  On the mound, showed some pitchability with a heavy arm side running fastball and strong command.  He also shows a feel for spin with big shape and depth to chase away left handed bats.  Offensively, West uses a controlled two tap stride with head staying behind the ball at contact well to generate exit velos up to 87.8 mph.  West has some interesting aspects to his game and should be a fun follow as he continues to add strength to the frame.
