The WIAA season is entering the final stretch of games with two weeks left in the regular season, as results continue to file in and teams begin to separate themselves. The Prep Baseball Wisconsin staff has once again updated the Power 25 rankings after another full week of action—featuring mainstays and a couple of newcomers leading the way.

AT THE TOP

+ No. 1 Sun Prairie East (20-0): The Cardinals were tasked with arguably their most challenging week to date—playing six games in six days against some quality opponents. They emerged undefeated throughout that entire stretch and improved their overall record to a perfect 20-0. RHP Drew Kavanaugh (2024; Wisconsin-Eau Claire (football)), after earning Prep Baseball Wisconsin Pitcher of the Week honors last week, tossed a five-inning perfect game against Sussex Hamilton in a 10-0 victory—striking out six batters. His work on the mound, paired with quality starts turned in by RHP Brady Stelzer (2025) and LHP Joseph Tamboli (2026) have taken some pressure off of Sun Prairie East’s offense. Their pitching staff only allowed 12 runs in those six games. 1B John Hadley VI (2024; Wisconsin-Milwaukee commit), SS Max Glusick (2025) and OF Sam Ostrenga (2024; North Dakota State (football)) all continue to produce at the plate for the Cardinals, all while playing stellar defense in the field. Sun Prairie East has proven to be one of, if not the most, complete team in the Badger State so far, as they play three more games this week and look to maintain their undefeated record and spot at No. 1 in the Power 25 rankings.

Hadley continues to produce at a high rate for the Cardinals, who have accumulated 10 hits in five innings to erase the deficit and take the lead.

+ No. 2 Muskego (17-1): The Warriors once again put together a strong week against some of the best competition in the state—defeating Oconomowoc twice, Catholic Memorial and Germantown. While all of the games were close at the end, Muskego found a way to come out on top. Much of it has to do with their offensive numbers so far, including quality work turned in by C Maddux Lessard (2027), SS Brock Lulewicz (2024; Wichita State) and many others. UTL Aidyn Mueller (2025) added to his strong season at the plate with a walk-off single against the Crusaders in their first game of the week—breaking up an 8-8 tie. INF Daniel Hauboldt (2025) was 2-for-3 with a team-high three RBIs versus the Warhawks in their final matchup of the week—tripling once and pushing the Warriors past Germantown. A group effort from their plethora of arms on their pitching staff has allowed Muskego to win 12 straight games and remain undefeated in the Classic Eight Conference—keeping them put at No. 2.

ON THE RISE

+ No. 5 Stevens Point Area (20-0): The Panthers continue to stack on wins in the 2024 regular season, as they are now a combined 46-2 in the last two years. They rose two spots in this Power 25 update after taking down Marshfield and Chippewa Falls, both twice, throughout the week. While they were challenged by the Tigers in game two, LHP/1B Noah Marschke (2024; Madison JC) hit a walk-off double in the eighth inning to win it for SPASH. On Saturday, everything was clicking for the Panthers versus the Cardinals, as SPASH erupted for a combined 26 runs in two games on offense. INF Jacob Garth (2024; Bryant & Stratton - Wisconsin) and OF Chase Geyer (2024) were the top run-producers in game one of the doubleheader, as the Panthers got a combined seven RBIs from the two prospects alone. OF Braylen Nystrom (2024; Wisconsin-Stevens Point) then hit a home run in game two—capping off another flawless week for the Panthers. They take on Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln twice this week before traveling to De Pere for a doubleheader versus the No. 4 ranked Redbirds.

+ No. 7 Hartford Union (17-2): The Orioles were handed three conference games this past week and got wins in all of them, remaining tied for first place in the North Shore with Nicolet as they enter the final week of conference battles. The combination of RHP’s Braycen Burg (2024; Madison JC) and Carter Kutz (2025; Nebraska) took down a Homestead team that has proven to score runs, as the two star arms only allowed one run in a 4-1 victory. In their matchup on Friday against Grafton, Kutz came back and twirled a complete game shutout—striking out an impressive 16 batters to cap off a 3-0 week. OF’s RJ Thomae (2024; Valparaiso) and Kaiden Romens (2026) continue to produce at a high rate in the lineup for Hartford Union, who will look to secure a conference championship this upcoming week—fighting for a No. 1 seed in their sectional with No. 6 ranked Manitowoc Lincoln.

+ No. 10 Union Grove (16-4): Since starting the year 2-4, the Broncos have now rattled off 14 straight wins to enter back into the top-10 of the Power 25 rankings for the first time since the preseason. Union Grove secured four more wins this week, taking down both Burlington and Slinger twice by large margins. RHP Landon Dessart (2024; Madison JC) started the week strong with a six-inning shutout performance against the Demons, striking out four batters in the process. The bats came alive against the Owls on Saturday, as the Broncos exploded for a combined 23 runs in the two games of action. SS Beau Bloxdorf (2024; Madison JC), INF Leo Weist (2025) and INF/DH Kody Hage (2025) were all effective at the plate, each doubling once in a 10-4 win. OF Braxton Hinds (2024; Bryant & Stratton - Wisconsin) and Dessart both had a pair of hits from the top of thel lineup to cap off a perfect 4-0 week for Union Grove. The Broncos play three more games this week as they fight for the Southern Lake Conference championship.

+ No. 12 Nicolet (17-4): The Knights were a perfect 3-0 against conference play to extend their winning streak to an impressive 14 games. Their pitching staff only allowed a combined four runs in those three matchups, led by the likes of RHP’s Jack Stuck (2025), Ben Ott (2024; Wisconsin-La Crosse (football)), Nolan Sandee (2024; Northern Illinois) and James Wirth (2025). All four arms were dominant in their starts, including a 14-strikeout game for Ott against Cedarburg in a narrow 2-1 victory. Ott has been a difference-maker at the plate for Nicolet too, as the senior hit RBI triples in back-to-back games to give the Knights the lead and eventually wins. They are tied with the aforementioned No. 7 ranked Hartford Union program in conference play, and have three more opportunities this week to secure victories.

+ No. 14 Wisconsin Lutheran (13-4): The Vikings find themselves rising nine spots this update after going 3-1 on the week. In live action, the Vikings secured two wins over previously top-10 ranked Pewaukee. In game one, the Vikings won 6-0, as RHP Jake Ross (2024; Bryant & Stratton - Wisconsin) tossed a complete game in 80 pitches, striking out seven batters. In game two, RHP/SS Eddie Rynders (2024; Kent State) got the start on the mound and struck out nine batters across six innings earning the win, while also going 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and a home run. Ross would come on in the final inning and secure the save. Wisconsin Lutheran then got a quality win over a competitive Eleva-Strum team in an non-conference battle, taking the game with a 13-3 final score.

+ No. 15 Westosha Central (17-3): The Falcons continued their impressive season, going 3-0 last week and improving to 17-3 on the year. They secured two conference victories against Waterford this past week, winning both by a single run. In game one, the Falcons went for 17 hits on, with a combined 11 of those coming from OF Carson Sieler (2025), C Mason Mitacek (2024; Wisconsin-Parkside), INF Joseph Suokko (2025) and C/OF Jake Urban (2025). In game two, RHP Quinn Conyers (2024) pitched for five innings and struck out eight batters, while giving up three runs. The Falcons will be back in action this week against No. 17 Badger on Tuesday and Thursday in key matchups in the Southern Lakes Conference.

+ No. 16 Mosinee (18-3): After a 5-0 week the Indians find themselves rising a couple spots, winning each matchup by a convincing margin, only allowing three runs on the week. INF Keagan Jirschele (2024; South Dakota State) and C Gavin Obremski (2024; Rock Valley JC) were consistent performers on offense throughout the week. RHP Garret Shupe (2024; North Dakota State) continued his dominance on the mound, tossing a complete game shutout on Wednesday. The Indians also had a number of quality performances turned in on the mound outside of Shupe, including OF/RHP Taylor Lemanski (2024; Wisconsin-La Crosse commit), who earned a win on Thursday against Clintonville. RHP Zachery Nechuta (2025) joined that group of arms, tossing a seven-inning shutout against Rhinelander on Saturday, where the junior struck out seven batters.

+ No. 18 Madison Memorial (15-3): The Spartans make their way back on to the Power 25 after being off for the past two weeks. They went 3-0 on the week and 7-0 on the past two weeks, as Madison Memorial has outscored their opponents 67-10 in that span. On Wednesday, the Spartans defeated Verona 13-0 and got a no-hitter from starting pitcher RHP Cashton Jones (2024; Edgewood commit). INF/OF Brayden Banyai (2026), OF Noah Latham-Woodruff (2024; Wisconsin-Oshkosh commit) and INF Oliver Soldat (2025) came away with multi-hit games in that matchup. On Saturday, the Spartans picked up two more wins against Fort Atkinson and Waukesha West in a couple of close contests. Jones was a consistent presence in each contest once again, showing up big for the Spartans across the week.

+ No. 25 Kettle Moraine Lutheran (16-3): The Chargers are making their debut on this newest Power 25 update, as they once again have put together a quality resume and are contenders for the Division 2 crown. They currently boast a 16-3 record—notching a big win over their rivals in Waupun, which moved them closer to securing a conference championship in the East Central. RHP/1B Brett Biondich (2026; Texas Christian) got the start against the Warriors and struck out six batters in four innings of work. His production at the plate has been a difference-maker for Kettle Moraine Lutheran, as he has settled into the middle of their order throughout the entirety of the season. INF/RHP’s Landon Hagenow (2024) and Jackson Kobylarczyk (2025) are a pair of two-way prospects who have carried the Chargers to wins on the mound, along with their bats toward the top of the lineup. OF Sam Ehlke (2025) continues to have a positive impact both defensively and offensively for Kettle Moraine Lutheran, too. They get a rematch with Waupun on Wednesday—looking to maintain this hot stretch of play after a slow start to the year.
