Arkansas High School Spring Spotlight: Beebe

The Arkansas high school baseball season kicks off on Feb. 26, opening day for regular season action under AAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2024 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down through the official Prep Baseball Arkansas Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

Coach’s Insight:

“The pitching staff returns almost all of its conference innings back from last year with the addition of mid-80s lefty Grant Jernigan back from injury. Defense and baserunning should be strengths going into the season, even with replacing the entire OF. Can the offense hit more and for more power this season. Likely won't have any seniors in the starting lineup with a few freshmen likely to be counted upon. Can the young players play at a high level” – Chance Cleveland, head coach
