With 2023 now in the past, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage that can be found anywhere in 2024. Starting in February, we began releasing team previews for squads across the state. Ahead, we will have Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings coming your way.

2024 Spring Team Preview: Lakota Raiders

Team Name: Lakota Raiders
Head Coach: Aaron Bomer

2023 Record: 18-11
2023 Tourney Finish: Sectional Finals loss to Ashland Crestview
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 5/2

Coach Outlook: "We have 4 starters back from last year who were major contributors in our lineup. We are replacing 5-6 seniors who were starters for us last year. We will be fairly young with sophomores and freshmen filling part of our roster. "

2024 Team Strengths:

  • We have 2 very solid pitchers who have experience. Chase Dussel is returning as our best pitcher and our shortstop. We have a very good catcher behind the plate with Grant Bomer. Our infield is very experience and will be the strength of our team.

  • Chase Dussel, Grade: 12SS/RHP, 5-11/180 pounds, 3 year starter, Heidelberg commit, .424avg, 36 hits, 7 2B, 3 3B, 13 RBIs, 43 runs, 52 SB. 7-2 2.392 ERA 49 K, 24BB.
  • Grant Bomer, Grade: 11C/RHP, 5-11 180 pounds, 2 year starter, Uncommitted, .259avg, 22 Hits, 1 2B, 16 RBI, 22 runs, 11 SB, 3-3 3.5 ERA, 32 K, 16 BB.
  • Cody Biddle, Grade: 12, 3B, CF, 5-6/150 pounds, 2 year starter, uncommitted, .361avg, 35 hits, 4 2B, 1 3B, 25 RBI, 22 runs.
  • Jacob Newell, Grade: 12, 2B/Utility, 5-8/180 pounds, 1 year starter, uncommitted, .233 avg, 14 hits, 2 2B, 12 RBI, 12 Runs.
