With 2023 now in the past, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage that can be found anywhere in 2024. Starting in February, we began releasing team previews for squads across the state. Ahead, we will have Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings coming your way.

2024 Spring Team Preview: Whetstone Braves

Team Name: Whetstone Braves
Head Coach: Tim Broskie
Division: I
2023 Record: 21-7
2023 Tourney Finish: Sectional Finals loss to Olentangy Liberty
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 5/3

Coach Outlook: "The Braves return a solid nucleus. This years team has put in a lot of time during the summer, fall and winter. Four players will play college baseball next year, that give the tem some great leadership. The non conference schedule is challenging and that includes a .spring break trip to Tennessee"

  • Leadership. The Braves return 11 letterman and 5 starters.

  • Marshall Cotter- Catcher. 1st Team All League. 413 AVG, 10D, 2HR, 29RBI, 22Runs,10SB.
  • Christian Douglass-P/3B.1st Team All League. Honorable Mention All District. 408 AVG, 5D, 31RBI, 21 Runs, and 13SB. 6-2, 48.1Inn, 56K's, 9BB, 1.88ERA.
  • Oscar Ball-P/OF- 2nd Team All League. 441AVG, 5D, 11Run's, 8SB. 2-0, 13K's.
  • Lucas Wood-1B- 2nd Team All League.279 AVG, 11Runs, 10BB.
  • Casey Edwards- P/INF. Honorable Mention All League. 355AVG, 7Runs, 8BB. 3-2, 24.1 Inn, 20K's, 12BB, 3.40ERA.
  • Tyler Brown- 2B
