West's thoughts on being selected to play at the MWFG and represent the state of Ohio: "I was super excited when I received my invite. I knew Ohio would only have about 20 players on the team so to be selected by PBR to participate in the Futures Game given all the talent in this state, this is a huge honor. In addition, looking at the list of very talented players who participated in past Future Games and to read how this event helped move each of them forward in baseball, I hope to make the most of this opportunity. Representing the state of Ohio at the Futures Game is a once in a lifetime opportunity. During my high school and summer baseball seasons, I’ve had the chance to play against many talented players in Ohio and several of those players I’ve competed against will now be my teammates at the Futures Game. It will be nice to join forces with these guys to do all we can to make Ohio proud."

The Prep Baseball Report Midwest Future Games is a one-of-a-kind event featuring the top 2016-2017 prospects from across our 10 state coverage area. This year taking place at Grand Park in Westfield, IN from July 31-August 2, hundreds of scouts from across the country will fill the stands to watch some of the top uncommitted 2016 prospects across our coverage area.
