Last week, we released an updated version of Illinois’ Class of 2019 rankings, and we also covered and welcomed those who were making their debuts on their class’ state rankings. Today, we’ll examine the players who have made the largest leaps up the board, dissect how they got here, and explain why their prospect arrows are pointing straight up.

Of the 200 prospects ranked on the Illinois 2019 board, around 30 can claim they’ve seen their stock rise dramatically. Two of those names we covered in depth when we broke down the newest top-10 group: LHP Michael Prosecky (Nazareth Academy; Louisville) and OF Alex Helmin (Providence Catholic; Arizona State). Helmin hurdled 19 spots for a No. 6 rank and Prosecky skyrocketed 41 spots to claim the No. 2 spot on the state’s board.
