Tyler Stambaugh, LHP, Sylvania Southview, Class of 2015

PBR: Why did you choose SVSU?

Stambaugh: Coach Ebright had me sold the minute I stepped on campus. He turned the program around and has it heading in the right direction. I had a chance to meet some of the players and connected really well with them. They play in an extremely competitive league and the facilities are top notch. I couldn't have seen myself going anywhere else.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Stambaugh:  I was also considering Wayne State and Mount Union.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you?

Stambaugh: The coaching staff first saw me at their prospect camp this winter.

PBR: What team do you play for in the summer and what is your most memorable moment.

Stambaugh: This summer I will playing for the Michigan Bulls.  My most memorable moment was playing in Georgia at the WWBA with the Ohio Elite.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process?

Stambaugh: I expected the recruiting process to be a lot more stressful but once I visited SVSU I knew that's where I wanted to go.

PBR: Who is the toughest hitter that you have faced?

Stambaugh: The toughest hitter I have faced would have to be Ryan Fournier from Clay. Not only has he been my summer teammate but we play each other in the spring and it is always a battle.
